  1. “It’s been happening for years, this isn’t new” Yes. and that’s the point of the strike lol. For a holy trinity game, gaining an advantage from excluding a role isn’t good design. Healer mains have had to see their responsibility be given to tanks and dps for years and years and they’re tired of it.

  2. You Know.. as a healer main I have got to say that a "Good" Healer should contribute a good deal to DPS and I have no problem healing for a tank that can pretty much take care of business with an occasional support.

  3. Would bee nice for healers to get a bit more in the DPS department to do.

The complaint about healers having too many oGCD healing options made me laugh though. Dungeons are meant to be easy busy work,. If you want the XIV healing experience you need to do Savage and Ultimates. As I said it would be nice to have just a bit more in terms of DPS to do. I'm also they kind of person in HW who played SCH and made it a challenge to out dps the dps in dungeons. The closest to the sweet spot was probably SB.

Also trusts are a thing so ripbozo

  4. I feel like I am going to get some slack but fuck it, I am just gonna say it. I do not see why everyone is having honestly a hissy fit about this. It's been known to be possible for a while now, and I have a pretty big bet that the only reason why especially NOW that this is all being blown up is because baldy here put a big limelight on it.
There was a comment down here that kinda matched how I feel about this. Your a healer. You job is not really meant to be doing 50 different things like the DPS jobs. You babysit them and ensure if anything bad happens you fix it. If you want to be multi-tasking and weaving in all sorts of shit, there are other jobs for you to do.

That being said, I can agree that the content itself could be adjusted to help healers use their full kit just a little bit more so that they are not hiding 60% of what they do in a box that has cobwebs all over it. But the point stands that most of the people signing that strike thing? Probably are blowing smoke up their ass and are trying to get their own limelight due to this happening right around the corner to DT. There are some there that /might/ have genuine reasons, but I feel like there are other more commonly seen outlets like twitter they can use to help spread their concerns more easily than a forum that I doubt many look into these days.

  5. These people obviously aren’t very good at the game, and most actually good players can see it in what they type.

“…dungeons boiling down to casting aoe shields…” ; in what dungeon do you need to cast any heals? Every dungeon you can get by just ogcd healing, you never have to cast a single gcd if you know what you’re doing…

Additionally, why are we discussing healing in dungeons at all? They’re literally designed to be a gameplay feature to progress the story, they’re literally made to be easy so even the bottom of the barrel players can complete it…

  6. Great bold ract. In regards to the skill tree, in the end, it'll go down the same path as materia melds, since there will always be a META, it's just that the META would be more annoying to attain and it would play a more significant role in making jobs viable, all in the name of a perceived variety that will be anything but varied. If you want to add self sustain to, like Xeno says, the DRK tree, what's holding you from adding it to the DRK kit itself. Also, very funny the whole healers aren't needed, content too easy, we need to strike yet the immense majority of those players wouldn't be able to heal through HH in P10s, just to name a recent example. Currently in XIV difficulty is not a need, it's a choice, and while I do think you can add a bit more complexity to jobs, and make dungeon bosses a bit more punishing when it comes to mechanical failure, that still wouldn't deny the possibility of doing said dungeons without healers, which has been a thing ever since Raw Intuition was added. Finally, if they want to see a real *strike*, just wait, because if jobs are nerfed because of this… oh boy, popcorn time.

  7. I personally don't do current savage or ultimate content due to personal reasons unless friends want me to try so as such when people have points like this I'm not involved why would I join a strike that not only doesn't relate to my experience nor is realistic. Also going to Main Warrior and Astro in Dawntrail hope everyone has fun 😁

  8. They do know there are other classes to play right? I've been a healer main for 10 years and honestly its fine. People who only do roulettes for content aren't going to find it very engaging. Challenge yourself with extreme solo healing, savages, ultimates. "I don't use 90% of my kit" like yeah you wont if all you do is dungeons. Tanks should be able to take care of themselves. They shouldn't feel helpless in keeping themselves alive.

  9. I mean talking about difficulty FFXIV team have the perfect chance with the lvl 100 and could, maybe even should make the base of all dgs lvl 50 make a hard version at lvl 75 and Savage above or at 100

Who wants story go for 50, wants some challenge 75 and wants to suffer/min,max 100

Could even make older content actually relevant/interesting again

  10. imho, Warrior is fine. If anything, most tanks are undertuned for the current content. No other tank really capable of doing this, Pal was able to in Shadowbringers with a lot of effort. I was kind of taken aback when I got to the current expert queue dungeons after my break because most other tanks are kind of a pain in the ass to heal. Warrior has like a 3 second window where you actually have to pay attention on the other hand.

  11. I'm not joining the strike, but complaints about healer design being 1 button braindead turret is very valid.
If they wanna keep us with current (DT) design give us cleric stance back so that we can have some actual risky min-max to play with for fun in easy content.
On topic "If you wanna attack, play DPS" is super funny statement for someone whom in their post wrote he plays savage, I'm guessing he is not upholding that rule of his in the savage groups he's joining. Unless he joins savage 4 months post release and everyone sweats to carry his 2k dps butt to not enrage.

Giving healers more giga powerful healing tools does not make them more fun to play. In fact during last savage tier prog we were sitting on our healing sheet with so many healing tools unspent that we just placed stuff like lilybell or macrocosmos in a random spot just to make healing sheet appear "filled", when in fact it was 60-70% OvH.

  12. I'm a sage player. It's my favorite class. I've played warrior. It's fucking warrior. And I'm still gonna play sage for the MSQ. It's fun. I love playing sage. These healer strikers are so online it's not even funny.

  13. Healers all ragequits because they got a hardcore reality check that's been the case since shadowbringers kinda : WARRIORS DON'T NEED HEALERS IN DUNGEONS

And they put the blame on our favorite bald strummer. Man, Xeno opened their eyes NOW but it has been the case for ages, wake up, MAN MODE DON'T NEED HEALERS D:

Ps : Also, all healers that are crying "omg we are useless we ragequit", go in a dungeon with a dark knight ? Go in dungeon with a gunbreaker ? Go in ANY Extreme trial or raid ? if you healers did any of those, you wouldn't be on your stupid strike, warrior is just built different for dungeons and that's it, don't throw healers in the trash for it wth xD

  14. I just want extreme dungeons lol I always though having extreme level dungeons would be fun and help break the monotony of the game when you actually have to play the class the right way and pay attention to mechanics.

  15. I don't understand the reason for this strike. This only effects normal content. Once you go into extreme and savage encounters, you are forced to heal. I bet you the people complaining about this are the turbo casual who haven't even attempted extreme and savage.
