  1. I do believe that this is just a beta test of this kind of promotion. The twitter community outrage needs to calm down a bit. As for some people that should be on the list that aren't, a requirement seems to be you cannot show/have shown any 3rd party apps on stream. ACT, GSHADE, RESHADE etc. Food for thought going forward for some people.

  2. You’re almost there bud!!!! You have been growing so fast and we enjoy your content! Give yourself a little more time and you will be on that list.

  3. The idea is good, but I don't like where Twitter is heading. It's diving into the whole "why them but not us" situation because everyone want to be on the list.

If people think that will be how they manage to get the mention officially, I'm afraid to say that it's only going to damage the event.

  4. the fact that Xeno isn't there the person who singlehandedly propped up FFXIV streaming category for so long is beyond disgusting. And Shows just how petty and vindictive SE really are.

  5. I'm trying be positive and assume this is just the first test run for this sort of promotion.

But man, I've been playing this game since ARR closed beta. I support a wide variety of content creators across different platforms. I'm really bummed that out of all the people I support via Twitch, Ethys is the only one who made the list, and he isn't even currently streaming!

  6. Is the VIP the status in Twitch where they allowed their audience to have lifetime subs in early Twitch release? I heard that has caused gifting issues so they can't be included.

Also? This just started yesterday. I've heard this isn't the final list and so people should give it some time if they want to gift their favorite streamer or just a less known one. Don't rush out for that mount and hope for more options.

  7. Well put Albz. Honestly I think the biggest issue is just the fans of each excluded community throwing a fit. Many of the content creators understand, and will wait for their time.

It's like when Rust had drop events, obviously they take care of Marketing first, and then in later events include the others. Only they have all their data and know what they need to do, so we can't really comment on it without our opinion being BS.

  8. Your message is exactly the right one and I admire your positivity! I am happy for the creators who made it and people who watch them should consider supporting them (if they can afford it) but I’m not comfortable with most streamers being left out (as it happens none of the streamers I regularly watch are on it) – so I will gift those subs to my regular streamers, even if I get nothing from it from Squenix for it ^_^

  9. I'm so sick and tired of this belief that race and orientation mandate preferential treatment. I would hope there are these "qualifications":
    1) Love of FFXIV
    2) Stream FFXIV
    … that's all.
Sadly a LOT of quality streamers didn't get on "the list" this time around.
If we keep with this diatribe that everyone must be segregated by this or that life choice … or WORSE … IMMUTABLE characteristic (skin color) … you do realize the variations are INFINITE and IMPOSSIBLE to successfully quantify?! Grow up people.

  10. Love your videos on FFXIV❤️. You're very enjoyable to watch.

While you both have your own styles, you and Jesse Cox are the most entertaining👍

Woops and Rhayara from NEST weren't on the list but it was good to see Drak and Spofie made it.

KrimsonKB and Liffeh are some that also stream Twitch FFXIV.

  11. I'll be honest, I only casually use Twitch, and I don't understand what this is. Do you just randomly give out subscriptions to people against their will and then it shows up on their list as it being something they're subbed to? Would it be like if I logged in to YouTube one day and suddenly found myself subbed to channels I never subbed to?

  12. Jesse Cox was on the list they had to remove him because he is the only one left with old subscription model on Twitch. He doesn’t have gifted sub function therefore cannot be included. Subscription to Jesse is cheaper and lasts forever 😁

  13. You were certainly one of the first names that came to mind when I saw this event go live! I've been playing xiv for a few years now, and as much as I adore the game I was starting to feel a bit burned out since some of my friends don't really play anymore or others have just been busy with other content. But watching your playthrough and seeing the excitement and energy you bring to each stream really revitalized my own in game experience. I've even gone back to play some of the content I skipped on my first playthrough because of how much fun you look like you're having! I appreciate what you do and I look forward to seeing more of your journey 🙂

  14. Honestly, I don't understand what people are upset about. Friendly reminder that even some people from the Fan Fest NA side aren't on this list like Larry or Frosty. And it's not like they just chose LARGE streamers, there's a few people from 2k to 10k followers in there.

So the only thing I can think of is that they have a list of VIPs, and then 10 random slots. They picked a few people and just /random the people and picked whoever the dice landed on.

I also think Twitch may have a hand in picking or selecting if it wasn't /random. However, the backlash that's being thrown around imo is unwarranted. So you didn't get picked, a lot of people didn't what makes you special if you got picked instead of another? If you say you've been streaming this for 5 year, I say what about that other guy who didn't get picked who's been streaming to 6?

It's a short list, and who know how much money needs to be thrown around on both sides to make this campaign work on SE and Twitch's sides. The code being provided needs to be coded and sent back for use to the Mog Station, do you know if that cost development time or how much time it may take to get that to work? It's not like they have a limited amount of codes, cause who knows how many codes will need to be provided?

I just find it funny how people complain but don't think further into it other than skin deep "I didn't get chosen or my streamer of choice didn't get chosen." I think it's petty and if you really wanted to support the creator then you'd gift 4 damn subs regardless whether you get big fat chicken or not.

I just gift subs cause I enjoy the creator and want to thank them for what they do as appreciation. The black chicken just incentivizes those who would normally not gift a sub to the channel that they already watch a reason to. If you don't watch or appreciate the creator why gift a sub in general for a black chocobo you probably won't ever use cause there's like 2 other ones like it in the game already and you probably don't use those already >.>

  15. This was on twitch end and not yoshi P. To be fair while some of the people i watch were not on the list, twitch was going to go for the known big names.

  16. I could be very wrong. But they did this for NA streamers 2 years ago before launch of Shadowbringers; so this time around their focus is EU streamers. Are all the English streamers on the list from EU? I only know Meoni, Annie & Zepla's location, and they are in EU.

  17. My best guess is that they made their list a LONG time ago. Not only are they missing newer FFXIV streamers, but some of the streamers on their list haven't streamed FFXIV in months.

  18. I think as much as there were downsides I will say I'm glad to see people are open to give Square criticism! Hopefully square gets the feedback and we'll see a more diverse list of creators in general next time.
