Part 2, the ending of my first Coils of Bahamut. I have been waiting forever for this! Since my first time reacting to the Realm Reborn opening cinematic, I’ve had so many questions about what happened. Now we finally get to find out! We did this run unsync’d as I wanted to get Coils done before jumping in the Heavensward expansion, but we will definitely be doing this again sync’d for the challenge! Hope you enjoy!

  6. Congrats on completing the Coils! This is probably the best storytelling we get in ARR, and it serves as a good baseline for a lot of things in the future:

    – I find it hilarious that Alisaie yeets herself from the story, reappears for the Coils to bring in some character development, and then yeets herself back off again. We'll get more Alphinaud and Alisaie in the coming expansions, and expect some really good writing.
    – The essence of Louisoix is that he essentially became a primal. Keep in mind that primals are born through: a butt-ton of aether (either crystallized, or ambient) and some sort of sacrifice. This process becomes very important while we head towards Stormblood/Shadowbringers/Endwalker, so keep it in mind!
    – Dragons are born like chickens! They come in a brood of eggs by the broodmother, and are usually raised together. Heavensward will spend a lot of time on dragons, so you'll get to find out more!

    While Coils is a great closer on ARR and everything that came before, it also incites a lot of really great plot devices/mechanics for literally every expansion after it, so don't forget the time you spent here!

  8. If you managed to get yourself a bow from the Final Coil, then you got yourself the most powerful bow that ARR had to offer, and I do believe that you got yourself a Weapons Coffer to do it with. Unfortunately, unlike the Ironworks Weapons, they are not dyeable.

    The Final Coil also gives out some really nice looking undyeable gear which is the same iLevel as your Ironworks gear.

    EDIT: I almost forgot! Your HW job quests are now active! You should be getting a GCD ability that not only deals damage to your target, but also resets the DoT timers that you have on that target back to 45 seconds as long as you have the DoTs on it.

  9. Imagine there are people who have never done this raid. They don't know the truth! I can't believe this (and the trial series and raids in HW) are not required content. You'll be pleased you did this as the story moves on. 🙂

  10. I think I've already congratulated you on finishing ARR like three times now, but now for REAL congrats on REALLY finishing ARR. Love the coils storyline, I wish it was more accessible so no one misses it.
