  2. I've fallen behind on these but I can say with confidence that they have been and will be a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your reactions and your journey with us. Continue onward and upward and enjoy the way. Take your time and we'll see you at the End when the time comes 🙂

  3. Your reactions here are fantastic. I love seeing how invested Shadowbringers makes us with the Scions, and the characters who are introduced this expansion. It does such a great job at it, and the reaction to seeing Thancred burst through and pin Hades with the white auracite always highlights that connection triumphantly. Really enjoyed seeing how you reacted to it! Looking forward to seeing your further journeys in the game.

  4. Really great end to 5.0. Loved the opening credits. Really nice that Jesse was able to come along. I hold him responsible for getting so many players into the game with his 15 year wow veteran video. Kudos to the squad for being so good about not even hinting at what was to come.

  6. I have to take this in 30 minute portions because that's all I have for lunch, but I might be able to watch it all tonight when the servers go down while we're waiting for EndWalker to go live!!!

    I main Bard, and I am beyond excited to play it more than ever now with all the buffs that have been added 🏹 😀

    I'm equally thrilled to know that you've finished ShadowBringers and delighted that you've shared your journey with all of us 💖

    Walk in the Light, always Brit… 🤗

  8. The moment when the theme song hits and everything after is just beyond anything I have ever seen in a video game. Then comes 5.3… which hits totally different

  9. Oh, I just remembered, someone uploaded a Hades fight with one sprout and everyone else cosplaying the Scions and Artbert's team. Towards the end they intentionally almost wiped the group then the Minfilia cosplayer did a LB3 to bring everyone back, it was epic.

  10. Couple of important things to point out about Emet-Selch's names. The Emet-Selch part was the title he had as a member of the Convocation, whereas Hades was his true name.

    1) The "Emet" bit comes from Hebrew and means "Truth". It's actually an important bit of the Jewish mythology with the golem. Basically, "Emet" was written (either on a tablet inserted into its mouth or written on its forehead) on the golem, which gave it life. In order to stop the rampaging creature, someone had to get up and erase the first symbol and change it to read as "Met". The Hebrew word "Met" translates to English as "Death", which is rather fitting for someone who was named Hades.

    2) The "Selch" part doesn't actually exist in Hebrew. IF it is supposed to be something in Hebrew, there are two possibilities. "Shelach" translates to "Your", or it could be "Selah" which could translate to "To Forgive".

    3) That would make the possible interpretations for "Emet-Selch" be "Your Truth"/"Your Death" OR "Forgiven Truth"/"Forgiven Death". Considering how the Sin Eaters were usually named "Forgiven _______" and that Emet-Selch was involved in creating Vauthry, I like to consider that "Selch" was created by combining "Shelach" and "Selah".

    ====

    I could be forgetting something, but I don't believe that Emet-Selch ever actually tells a lie. The only time in which he lies is at the moment in which Ardbert rejoins with us and there is a bright flash of light. At that point Emet-Selch sees a brief glimpse of us in our unbroken Ancient form. His dialogue at that point is "Bah! Just a trick of the light! You are a broken husk, nothing more!"

    I do think it's interesting that at that point where Emet-Selch lies to himself about what he saw, he also reveals his true name of Hades. It's like he is deliberately altering the "Emet" (Truth) part of his title to "Met" (Death), like in the Jewish story of how the golem is defeated.
