Our Final Fantasy 14 journey continues! Today we are take a rest and enjoying the festivities of the annual Moonfire Faire!
Welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are talking about Final Fantasy 14 in 2021. Today we are checking out the 2021 Moonfire Faire event. This is probably one of my favourite FFXIV events simply because it happens at a time where there aren’t many other MMORPG events happening. This makes the event feel fairly unique, and I think the summer vibes really aligns with the time of year. However, the most exciting part about this year’s Moonfire Faire is the lovely mount you get to walk away with. It has to be one of my favourite mounts that I have collected so far!
As a relatively new ffxiv player, I have enjoyed giving my first impressions of the many different pieces of content this game has to offer. If you are interested in exploring the game yourself I suggest you check out the Final Fantasy 14 free trial. This trial lets play all the way to level 60 (including both the base ARR and Heavensward expansion), with no time restrictions. It was ultimately the free trial that convinced me to dive into the full game and the new Shadowbringers expansion!

Not sure if you noticed outside of the footage shown here, but the polar bear does have a special action. If you press 1 while riding it, it does the snowflake thing from the cutscene
The back-to-back of Moonfire Faire and The Rising are definitely my favorite time in FFXIV (outside of any expansion/patch, of course). Going from exciting summer celebration into a reflection of how far the game has come since the relaunch is just too hard to beat. Here's hoping we get that moonfire jumping tower back next year, though. I've been dying for it to return since 2019.
