  2. because as soon as you heal the GNB he's going to use superbolide and erase all your healing. same with the Dark Knight asking your full attention after using Living Dead. the main difference is that Blackest Night means the Dark Knights are slightly better equipped to let you heal them up afterwords.

  3. the reason why warri and bard are so low are as following:
warri: tanks already have very simple rotations, but warri makes it even easier, its a very unengaging rotation and hitting the same button over and over gets boring much quicker than other tanks. it also has very few ogcds that are not defensive, can feel stale.
bard: its not very complex, but the rotation is very rng heavy and it often just doesnt hit as hard it should to make it feel better to play. overall pretty easy job, but heavy rng.

  4. I feel like people are way too hard on scholar, it has issues sure, but in harder content I prefer the scholar and astro over white mage, honestly though excogitation can make bad tanks perform decently(myself). I played it and white mage in arr, and it performs better in level 50 content due to ogcds. I started paladin in heavensward now so I’m not sure how it scales. But a quick tip to new scholars the most important thing to do, is to not use physick

  5. as a gnb, people dont usually heal me to full when a TB is coming up and they dont need to drop a bene on me because i don’t normally need a big heal anyway… and i rotate mit better ur average tank so i dont always take big dmg… healers usually focus on dps and only heal for raidwide or TB

  6. everyone keeps on talking about the rotation being boring but I think the primary issue is that Drk, Gnb, and Pal all have a similar materia set up. Warrior requires an entirely different set up due to Inner Release guaranteeing 100% crit and direct hit.
Maining a War means swapping tank jobs is a pain in the arse. So main Drk that functions similar to War and you can swap between the 3.

  7. GNB is not hard to heal, I play Scholar and of the tank classes I have healed, which is all of hem, GNB is actually the easiest to heal, iMHO, I also play a GBN on my scholar as a secondary job and with the shield, the regen, and the mitigation, I have even face tanked tank busters that would have decimated another tank. As a scholar healer I do not have to heal GNB nearly as much as the other tanks. with DRK being the second least and a good paladin who actually uses mitigation, and does not forget thay have clemency, being the third.

  8. I'm a scholar main and to be honest. If the player knows all to utilize scholar to its fullest. I'd personally have to say it's the best healer for pve content. Alot of burst heals and insta shields. On top of being able to pre shield your tank and or party members to mitigate a ton of incoming damage. Just gotta learn how to use its tool kit to the fullest and learn the fights and you'll do great.
