  1. 😊

This video hits on a God-like level right here, right now. I enjoy playing Classic WoW and am thankful for the community I have become a part of where there is a lot of "Contributors". However, Blizzard has released a new expansion that has caused a divide. Many of our guildies have stepped back over to Retail and literally abandoned their Classic "Contributor" toons. Classic is at a bit of a stale place right now. Ulduar raid releases next month and that may bring some spice back but will it be for the "Consumers"? Meh. At the end of the quest, I truly want my WoW friends to enjoy what/when/how they play the game and if jumping over the divide is their path…it is what it is…I will surely toss heals on you when you return, if ever. /cheers

  2. I’ve seen so many guilds fall apart over really dumb stuff. Like I had a guild in classic that died in Molten Core because we had so many people in the raid who just wanted to loot every corpse in the middle of combat. Dps, tanks and healers. It became such an issue that we were wiping on trash and the guild masters wouldn’t do or say anything about it. There were other issues like poor coordination. Funneling loot to officers/friends of guild leadership (I got passed over for my weapon 3 times while people who only raid-logged got it for being friends with leadership, despite me being very loyal and contributing.) So a ton of people quit every raid night to the point we could barely get 20 people from a guild that previously had no open spots for a 40 man raid.

The officers were asking what happened to the guild in discord and I explained to them that loot wasn’t being fairly distributed with people who worked hard to help everyone get their pre-bis by organizing dungeon parties etc, continuously getting passed up by council, and that we wasted a lot of time by consistently starting raid 30-45 minutes or more late due to people not being online and ready to go at raid time. Then those late people want us to extend raid so we can finish content when they could have just showed up on time.

I’m just saying. Millions of reasons guilds break up. Being a player who is flexible on what role you play isn’t really gonna seal those cracks in the foundation.
