    would just suggest to not speculate over the cutscenes until they finish. because in shb and ew there's so much details and subtext which is easily missed if you talk over it. many things are just mentioned once so it's really easily missed. missed many things myself on my first playthrough 'cause of that

  4. The moment Emet joined the party, I knew Shadowbringers was going to be something else. I totally get what you mean by him somehow appearing more trustworthy than other characters. He just comes across as very… sincere? You know he's an asshole, he knows he's an asshole, and he doesn't make any attempt at hiding it. Regardless of his intentions, he doesn't make any attempts to change his personality as well. He's just there in the party, just being an Ascian as always, instead of trying to appear as someone he is not, and I think that's what makes it work so well.

    Also I just love the idea of the villain suddenly joining the hero party and just hanging around, there's just something so funny and charming about it. 😀 If you like that as well, you definitely have much more to look forward to in Shadowbringers! Also good call on talking to him even when he doesn't have the marker. He has a lot of interesting things to share.

  5. Oh you talked to Emet. Love it. Yeah, talk to him every time you can. Man literally drops huge lore bombs in optional dialogue. It surprised me too. lol
    BTW. He's my favorite FFXIV character by far! Sassy Ascian!
