Xeno beats Hermes in Ktisis Hyperboreia dungeon and reaches the top where Meteion is hiding. Meteion gives her report about life on other stars and because of the despair all her sisters felt when they learned the truth she becomes a goth girl. This is part of the level 87 quest “Caging the Messenger”. Xeno gives his first, blind reaction to the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker story (MSQ) cutscene.

This was my favorite cutscene in the entirety of Endwalker. As you progress through the Elpis arch, you wonder how can this time travel trope affect the future you already know? If you met Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus, how do they not know you when you meet them in Shadowbringers? THEN THEY WRITE THIS. My mind was blown right after this cut scene. I literally left my seat, put my hands against my temples and shouted "WHAT" to the alarm of my neighbors in my apartment.

Always wondered a few things.
Was meteion nuking other worlds while waiting the like 12000 years for zodiark to die?
Was Venat being hit with rejoinings during her walk?
The dungeon that takes you through glimpses of these worlds is amazing!
The logs are required to fully understand, but damn. Makes you appreciate the environment and Meteion’s speech here.
When did he do the MSQ. I don’t see it in his recent streams.
Meteion is one of many – her sisters were deployed throughout the universe to answer the question. The one we know is connected to their hive mind and equally tainted by their psychological break.
