M4S Guide – AAC Light-Heavyweight M4 Savage (Wicked Thunder)

This is a guide to the fight Arcadion M4S (Wicked Thunder) in the game Final Fantasy XIV. This guide sticks as closely as possible to the Shababin pastebin commonly used in NA PF. At the time of upload, the strats featured should be virtually identical.

  1. Reuploaded due to a small position mixup during intermission in the original version.

It's Shabin. If you raid in NA PF, this should match almost perfectly with what you've been doing. If you raid in EU PF, there are a handful of differences in spread/pair positions that you can probably spot from watching the first minute.

This tier's guides has taken a huge amount of effort, but I hope they have made savage a little more approachable, especially for 1st time raiders.

  2. Oh boy here we go again. Hector stop making dumb shit, you are cancer for pf. For exaflares you just need to look for the exaflares going out of the arena, no need to look for 2 exaflares going in the same arrows. Just making things more complicated.

Pf sunrise memes comes from blasting each with cannons. Never step beyond the diagonal line of the tile when baiting cannons.

  5. There are two types of people in this world:

    1) The doers
    2) The people who come after and criticize who think they can do it better.
Hint: 99% of the time they can't do it better, and if they did they'd show you.

  6. Unfortunately, your Widening/Narrowing Witch Hunt is not Shabin, so this will confuse a lot of PF players. You do NOT need to pay attention to the baits, they are static spots. Slide 2 and 3 clearly show the baits do not matter. No player is "more far" or "more in," nor is there any variation of HTMR or THMR or whatever is presented. The baits will always go Supp-Supp-DPS-DPS because the bait pattern alternates so you can split it by role.

Tanks are always in and healers are always out for first two, then they go "mid, mid" to let the other role bait. And vice versa, dps are "mid, mid" for first two then, melee always in and ranged always far for the second two. This is what Shabin explains.

By healers staying always far they will take the far bait regardless of the pattern, while tanks always take the in bait. Once this role is done, the other role takes over while the first role stays "middle" of everyone so they do not take a near or far bait. There are static spots assigned for each distance you have to be.

Please correct this oversight. I know you are a fan of reducing mental load so not having to look at the bait pattern can help with that.

  7. First time commenter. Just showing appreciation for how much the guides have helped and enabled players all around the world who dont have statics to troubleshoot.

I cant imagine the time it took to get all of this into such easily digestable content.

    Thank you

  8. Having the tanks pay attention to 6 PEOPLE to see who didn't get hit and move into them when Tanks can't even see the entire party is so dumb. And I don't wanna hear about "muh casters" because you can just slidecast.

  9. Good work. We figured out easier way to tell safe exa flare Pos. If you look opposite end of the arena there’s only one aoe on the edge on the opposite side that doesn’t point towards your group= safe lane
. edit And now I’m seeing about 385847382 other people reported this too xddd. Have a good weekend
