I didn't even know they ported FFXIV to the PS5. Yeah its not the best to be learning a game meant for pc on console, especially an MMO like this.
If you want to play more recent expansions, Shadowbringers and Endwalker you need the subscription service too. But with free trial you dont have any need for that but you have some restrictions compared to someone who pays (nothing game breaking, just storage mainly)
