  1. Small correction: In Doman Mahjong, unlike Riichi Mahjong, the dora indicators are not actually tiles in the set. They are extra tiles, meaning if Red Dragon is a dora indicator, there are still four Red Dragon tiles in play. I don't know if this was a mistake on the part of the developers or intentional, but take that into consideration. Source: I got a kan of Red Dragons when there was a Red Dragon dora indicator.

  2. I had a two day phase of learning riichi mahjong and all of those spent reading the website. If this guide came out sooner, xD anyways, good vid. Ive reached 1800 already and have paused playing the game momentarily to focus on msq lol

  3. This feels like watching your samurai guide. There are too many words I do not know, I have to be looking at the video, and even after that I need to rewatch it again because playing mahjong is harder than not messing up a samurai's rotation all the way to "Midare Setsugekka" twice in a row.

  4. I made it 3 minutes into the vid. Is that enough for the title? Seriously I'm sure this is amazing well put together and you seem to know your stuff, but also no. Ty tho! Some day I may reference this, but not at 1am.

  5. Finally all that time spent going for platinum in the whole Yakuza series is going to pay off. But if they ever add pachinko to the game I swear to God I'm throwing my PS4 out the window.

  6. Gotta say, the font for the manzu/number tiles on xiv is incredibly fucked up for people who are learning/can read jp, took me a bit to figure out why ノ乙そ were on the tiles instead of the numbers. Also, for 19:07, the mnemonic I originally learned for the dragon tiles dora order was to put them alphabetically, G -> R -> W, then it loops. Might be easier to remember lol

Anyways, thanks for explaining the rules pretty well! Mahjong is fun and honestly, once you get the flow of things, you literally don't need to think while playing and you can just throw tiles away until someone wins and gg next. Cool game to have over drinks with friends.

  7. This is 100% the guide I wish I had when I first learned how to play and now will be what I force upon friends so my irl set can finally stop collecting dust.
And then I bully them again to play in FF because that title won't get itself
