Want to buy more way to recover mana
It's really frustrating and silly how expensive our spells are but I dont care. It's WHM.
My AST co-healer has an audacity to complain about never running out of mana when we do extremes and savages and I've never had such a strong desire to blood lily my own teammate… 😔 (Just in case: I'm a Sage now)
WHM feels like it has similar issues to SGE but shines in dungeons instead of trials and raids for me. Resource management issues, compared to AST that basically has infinite MP and loads of oGCD heals, it feels like it doesn't stand out for anything. Like AST can burst heal very easily, has mitigation and endless MP, SGE does more damage and SCH is just a beast all around. WHM is perfectly usable but having the other 3 leveled, I don't have any situation where it feels like bringing WHM will bring any added benefit over the others right now. Hopefully they buff it's MP regen or lower the MP costs.

I believe WHM should receive mana from Lilies imo since other healers resources give them mana. Besides Lucid, WHM has no way to get mana back.
WHM currently feels really clunky and bad. The incentive to use Lilies has disappeared, since they are not mandatory for weaving and movement. Mana costs haven’t changed, but the tools to manage it are gone – any big GCD heal needs to happen with Thin Air, otherwise you will run out of mana in no time.
Might as well treat Lilies like Addersgalls – make them oGCDs, let them recover mana upon use and lower the Misery potency to balance it out.
WHM felt really smooth in Shadowbringers, lowering the cast time of Glare, while on its own being an amazing change, has broken the flow of the class.
the lily is so fucking good, in asphodelos savage 2 when everyone needs to spread for arrows, i just put the lily in the center of the arena while damaging, doing boss mechanic, and healing at the same time it felt sooo good

I would prefer they delete the Lillies at this point, and just mega buff whm's gcd healing. It feels so much better to medica 2 than just stand there like an idiot after using a lilly.
Would it be broken to buff Misery to be DPS neutral? It would be better to incentivize the use of the lilies. And I agree on buffing the mana management somehow. The idea of attaching mp regen to them seems nice on paper, but honestly I miss the old Thin Air. I used to use it with PoM to make my speed cast phase easier in the mana pool.
(If my math is right a DPS neutral misery would have 1240 potency right?)
I played WHM up to Shadowbringers and I I decided to try ShB Extremes and synced Extremes in general for the first time a month before Endwalker, and it was there that I fell out of love with WHM and EW didn’t change my main problems.
WHM only has Assize a reliable aoe ogcd heal, and my brain always decides between holding it for healing or pushing it out for damage. Lilybell is a 2 minute cooldown, so my only options most of time are gcds like Medica 2 or Afflatus Rapture. Medica 2 feels bad to wait on casting trials like SoSex and overall I’m still sacrificing gcds even by using lilies.
In dungeons, I almost never need gcds for one tank. But whenever damage is for the party, I always feel like I need to sacrifice gcds for full or even light parties.
The MP cost on WHM GCD heals is broken. Cure 2 and Medica have the exact same potency and range as astro's Benefic 2 and Helios, but WHM has higher mana cost and longer cast time.
Why am i paying 300 MP more for a single target 800 potency heal and why does it take 0.5s longer to cast?
Why am i paying 200 MP more for an aoe 400 potency heal with a 15y radius and why does it take 0.5s longer to cast?
There's also a discrepancy between Medica 2 and Helios 2. Both spells have the same heal and regen potency but for some reason Medica 2 costs 200 MP more and takes 0.5s longer to cast. Granted Medica 2 has a 5y bigger radius, but that is not enought to justify the increased cost and cast time.
IMO Thin Air didn't need a nerf, the other healers needed a buff to their MP management. Just how AST got their own little Lucid Dreaming with Astrodyne.
Liturgy of the Bell is too situational and the fact that if you don't use all stacks you lose half the healing potency just feels awful in any content that actually needs healing.
Amazing ability my ass. Why does the white mage specifically need to take damage to heal the party? and if that's the case why doesn't it heal full screen? in certain situations where it'd be really good to use it doesn't even reach half the party and I have to take the damage for it to even go off. you could treat it like a star and plant it down for one raid wide but every stack you save to the end is half potency compared to it going off when you get hit. if they plan on having all these stupid ass stipulatons to using this move properly why is it 3 minute cooldown??? compare it to the other healers level 90 abilities and tell me you really think liturgy is a an amazing ability with nothing to complain about. smh.
Holy's Trade off is that it's got a lower potency than Art of War or Dyskrasia and isn't ranged like Gravity. Considering this, no, the 2.5 second Cast on Holy doesn't make sense because we're the only Healer that has to clip the GCD to use our oGCDs during Trash Pulls. Yes, the Tank isn't taking damage but it's realistically not that much better than a SGE using Haima during a Trash Pull and while the Stun of Holy wears off, Dyskrasia is still healing the tank via Kardia. In relation to AST and SCH, they just have so many oGCDs to compensate for lacking the extra utility of the stun that it really doesn't even matter.
Divine Benison and Aqua Veil are also inferior to AST's Celestial Intersection and Exaltation due to the fact that AST's skills can crit, where neither of WHM's can. Since AST doesn't need to sacrifice melds on Piety, they can meld for more Crit and make their skills consistently outdo that of WHM's.
Lilybell is awful in comparison to all the level 90 skills. Macrocosmos literally invalidates some severe heal checks in P3S and P4S, Pneuma + Zoe is just disgustingly potent and as memed as Expedient was, the skill is an absolute beast. Lilybell has too many restrictions for it to warrant a 3 minute CD, especially where you consider that, unlike Earthly Star that gets stronger the longer it's out, Lilybell gets WEAKER.

Personally I didn’t like whm in shb and now it feels even worse with how poor it’s mp management is and the job to me feels so damn clunky and bland. Revert thin air or fix those mana cost idk how I’d make it feel better maybe have lilies not be a dps loss.
i'm just leveling a whm, about 60, and its confusing that DPS Skils cost so much mana that you can go oom when using them. normaly DPS skill should refill my mana
To be honest I have no idea why people having any mana issues with white mage at the current state of the game. I got up to 3/4 Pandaemonium Savage without ever having the feeling to be off mana at any point of the fights except I have to have to rezz people a lot but that´s naturally (And no , I play soely through party finder which means I cannot rely on the strength of my second healer since I don´t know how well they play). There is no single instance where a well used plenary sometimes with sometimes without Asylum isn´t enough combined with only one at max two AoE heals to get the party up in no time with or without lillies. They are still nice to have and needed in your rotation if you want to have your dps high enough for the at this moment hardest content of the game which up to now is besides birdy what you need to do. Thin air is soely a tool to minimize rezz mana for me (And with the changes it´s even better and in best case saves me with that half my mp bar , I can use it when I really need one cast without mana , not wasting a full thin air cooldown for a single AoE). Yes we might have no fancy shielding like the other healers but that was never white mages strength anyways. Besides , Bell is an amazing tool to mitigate so many hard hitting raidwide mechanics without losing a single drop of mana in doing so (There are also enough instances like coherence 1 for example where you can use the Bell and just dps further without needing a second heal spell in the process , your Bell will heal up your entire group to max when it diminishes , saving you a ton of mp as well and still having it up again at other crucial points in the fight (Numbers / Last Coherence Arrows). As I said , if you know the fight , you learn when to rely soely on your cooldowns at certain points). White Mage is all about reactive healing and trust me if you learn the fights and the right time to press your spells there isn´t an issue at all.
