I don't think transmogs would work as is because you have multiple jobs sharing gear, and you want to have different glam loadouts per job. That's likely where the convoluted glamour system came from. The actual solution would need to lie somewhere in between.
To level DPS, you can use your GC squadron or trusts to level with a party of NPCs. You can also queue with a tank or healer friend or fc member to shorten queue times. You also have the option of Bozja/Zadnor to go from 71-90. I limited the amount of time I spent waiting around on queues using all these options. When in queue, you can grind fates which also gives almost equivalent exp to the dungeons themselves.
alright off that bat and your already fricking up how stuff works in ff14 no you dont need to go to an inn to apply a glam you can do it anywhere thats what the prisms are for they let you manual apply glams anywhere in the world so all you need to do is buy a stack (which is cheep) and carry it with you then you can manual apply glam one item to look like another as long as its in your invitory. glam plates on the other hand let you freally apply a whole outfit for no cost unlike wow where every single time you want to trasn mog you have to pay for every single piece. as a wow player i can say that wows transmog is objectively worse you have to pay every time you also have to pay for every piece . ff14 the plates are free and if you really want to glam in the field the actual prism can be bought with company points so you dont even have to pay with gil.
open world content yes wow has open world content and half of what you talk about wow players complain about they hate daily's they hate how it is tied to progression that you have to wait week/ months and login every day else you fall behind , also its really funny how you ignore that fates and hunts do the same dam thing as wows world they provide mounts gear music scrolls etc everythign that you praise wow for but instead of forcing you to only do 1 a day you can do as many as you wish a day. ie I wanted the closer in distance song for my house so I ground out 60 fates in a zone while also queing to level the alt class at the same time instead of taking me a freaking month i got it in 3 days and had a blast learning a new class.
yes because they are baseline the real content is the raids also mythic is not a massive change over normal its just harder and random debuffs are applied thats not different that's just harder its still the same boss. btw I love that you completely ignore eureaka/ bojaz ie whole endgame zones were you fight on a progressing system that even now you can still do because each zone has its on leveling system.
leveling jobs …. spam dungeons soo you mean exactly what fing wow players do or did back you know when it was a good game? also no its not the only way but what can I expect at this point you forgot a about levies oh yea btw dps can do trusts/ squads which is a insta que dungeons system that lets them run a dungeons with npcs. It literally made so people don't have to wait in que for dungeons its a shame wow doesnt do that and just screws over its dps players by focings them to wait for dungeons pops.
you have litearly gotten every point of video wrong go back to playing wow as it climbs deeper into the forever box and don't try and drag down a much better mmo down.
transmog doesnt have dyable gear
