  1. Remember when we first met Jullus? Did it bother anyone he called us a sellsword or did you shrug it off? Personally it’s a very off description of us, but it’s not a bother to me considering how bad he and his people have it.

  2. I honestly love how well they sell how the WoL is seen by the Garleans. Between the guy's trembling steps backwards, and the NPC's biting dialogue, this section did such a damn good job of showing your actions in a different light.

  3. The scene with Quintus broke me… I was really hoping he would finally agree to join us for safety…but I guess his loyalty to Garlemald was too strong and decided to die than to accept defeat…

  4. Quintus had some balls collaring the twins and expecting the WoL to cooperate, considering the WoL could have very easilly killed everyone in that room.
Yeah, the WoL wouldn't have (canonically, not talking about headcanons/RP) considering why they are there and all that.
    But Quintus didn't know that.

  5. There is a lot of symbolism with the idea of been unable to "break the chains" of old glory and conquest in the garlemald arc, actually tied to the Anima as their primal and with chain as their symbol.

There is a roman catholic concept called the "anima sola", which is a soul chained to purgatory by their own sins, unable to break free because if can't let it go from the same unless they accept external help. Only by accepting, those chains will broke, and the soul will be cleansed from their sins.

The entire zone of garlemald, with Anima as their primal is a good allegory of this idea, a race so proud, so patriotic, but corrupted by many sins caused by the same that are now suffering in out in the cold. Anima as their primal is a perfect fit, as it nicely represent the "soul of the empire" motif, even with the banner symbol been the chains tied by the blood and sacrifices of their brothers and sisters from the past.
