  1. Plot twist: In order to stop Zenos from eating Zodiark we will have to feed him nothing but tacos. So for the next 9-12 months, we will only be farming taco shards to feed Zenos. It'll be just like playing WoW.

  2. I only finished 2B's part of Automata so I hadn't run into the giant robot lolis in that game yet, so when I first saw this I was like "damn, main story be wildin' now"

  3. they showed some members with a slice in their images.. these ones gonna die, some of them didnt have that slice.. but i'm sure zenos gonna kill em so they dont interfere with his hunt, just like he did with his father.

  4. I’m thinking Endwalker is going to fake us out in thinking Zodiark (possibly via Zenos) is the final boss. Then they’re going to have us fight Hydaelyn.
Also it would make me explode with amused joy if Zenos ended the expansion as an ally. Like, he still wants to fight us, but he’s also willing to fight with us. And then my ship can become reality. Lol

  5. I don't know if someone or anyone has stated this, but…

If you looked closely at the trailer, particularly after the introduction of the red girl (the chief A.I. from Nier Automata), and subsequently in the battle against "her" as the boss, you can spot two armored, robot-like, horned guardians wielding polearms and shields.

Those two guardians are not from Nier Automata.

Those two are Hansel and Gretel, bosses from Nier Gestalt / Replicant.

  6. Towers: for passive population , a weak but accumulative poison is suffice. For rebellious population, let them eat cancerous and deadly beams that would incinerate their bones. The wonderful and misunderstood spectrum of light and darkness.

  7. I heard a theory that Zenos will eat Zodiarc and he plans to have us absorb Hydalyn somehow (maybe that was Hydalyn and it will let us borrow its power?), so he can have his epic fight.

  8. I agree, Zenos will definitely eat Zodiark.
As for who is gonna die, my bet is on Raubhan. His story arc is complete, and they can give him a proper heroes goodbye now. Other than that, I'm guessing Hien will come close to death, and then get saved in the last minute by Gosetsu sacrificing himself.

  9. Fordola will likely die as a redemption arc. It sounds like Arenvald is giving the "We arrived together, we'll leave together" dialogue – seeing as the two of them joined up at the end of Stormblood, so I'm just guessing Fordola is injured or dying. I can't see any of the city-state leaders dying and leaving a void. The only problem is — Ala-Mhigo kinda has two — Lyse and Raubhan — and Lyse is part of 80 Monk class quest, so I really hope we aren't going to lose the one-armed wonder.

A lot of people suspect Alisae will die. I personally don't think that's the case — but I will be absolutely heart broken if it happens. Giving her a new makeover just for the Endwalker trailer only to have her killed off would be very strange indeed. I assume the aether effects surrounding her are to do with the Scions obviously un-tempering people — and it also sounds like Alphinaud's plan to turn the tide is to summon primals, seeing as tempering is no longer an issue. Alas, doing so means we would still need to defeat them afterwards.
