Deserved, absolutely was. People were upset but honestly, they deserved this. I play some of the games that they were against, as well as 14 and it was absolutely deserved. (Not Genshin mind you, haven't touched it)

I was torn between Genshin and Ff14 but after the issue with the Genshin anniversary, strategically it makes sense for FF to win. I’ve not played Fortnite, but I do hear it’s a game for memers, which I am not. Good for FF.
What I loved the most about this award is the fact that the song they used was the Teme of Phase 2 of Omega savage. The absolute madmen used the most hype song that mimicked the leitmotif of the WOL.

Genshin Impact shouldn't have been on this list yet imo. I think this category should have a 2-3 year minimum.
