  1. The Dragoon one is probably my favorite relic in a LONG time just because it kinda goes back to the aesthetic that Gae Bolg has. And since Gae Bolg can't be dyed, this is the next best thing.

  2. What I hate the most about Machinist Weapons is the ammo box never changing, which looks okay with some but in this case does not fit the relic at all. Astro Globes at least get a color swap on their side thingy, so why are they so averse to even recolor the Lunchbox?

  3. The books are the best ones for me.
    Absolutely love both designs.
They might not be the favorite for most but for me the idea of drawing spells out of a tome is cool these days.

  4. As a SMN main, I despise most of the weapons I'm forced to use. I like one of the books, and it's the one with the dragon wings on it. But that's the only good looking book. The rest are garbage. GIVE US ACTUAL WEAPONS YOSHIDA!!

  5. To this day, the only books I enjoy are the ones that have aura wings, like the HW relics. The final HW relic for SMN with the giant purple Bahamut wings is my favorite SMN weapon and one of my favorites in the game overall, but sadly I find that all other books fall short in comparison.

On another note, glad that SGE wings are getting more play. The wings and cannons are my favorite weapon types on SGE, and I hate the little hooked dongles in comparison. I need some more glowing SGE wings and cannons to fulfill my Gundam fantasy.

  6. it is a "pistol"

ngl I'm not really feeling the scythe, kinda wish they went with shadowy red instead of green. I think the rapier is my favorite one. The samurai weapon looks like Ichigo's bankai from Bleach. (would not be surprised its intentional considering the new season is currently airing). I agree with ninja weapons, but I do like the ones here. Bow looks like something right out of WoW.
I like the mix of light and shadow element particle effects on some of these weapons.

  7. The only book I like is the Cryptlurker ones, not only are they easy to get, they are just plain books with a dagger strapped to them for backup.

  8. If you colour the PAL shield in a dark colour, like a dark blue or black, the particles will look like a skull from a distance, and not bad up close eiither.

  9. The summoner book featuring the phoenix with spread wings is a worthy challenger to my mimesis lux favorite, it looks stunning with that roiling glow effect.

  10. Big winners are Warrior, Reaper and Monk – flaming axe, fel scythe and glowing fists. Big loser for me is Machinist. I like my sleek and simple guns that look half-way realistic, Deepshadow Pistol being my primary glamour for reference. The first two Manderville guns were great, and this one is another over the top nonsense we get so often – chaingun sniper scope crap.

  11. I think my problem with Nin weapons, as a Nin main is that if we're going with the fantasy of what a Ninja is the weapons aren't really meant to be seen, or if they are seen they're meant to be underestimated by you're opponent. I feel like that kinda runs counter to the fantsy of gettting newer and glowier weapons that the other classes can sort of revel in. Another problem I think is that Nin weapons are uh… Small. There's not a lot of room to work with on them so you can't do a lot of intricate details with them.

Honestly I think what would make Nin weapons more interesting as well as the other paired weapons in the game (Mnk/Dnc) is if they weren't all symmetrical, like I realize you're never going to be able to pair different daggers together yourself but the devs could make weapons that specifically have an asymmetrical design. I think that would make for some more interesting weapons, though that might be a little bit of extra work in terms of modeling.

  12. It's nice to know Jesse is a kindred spirit in terms of NIN. I just hate how all the NIN weapons have basically just been two PLD weapons, I wish there were more knives so 98% of NIN weapons are just mid to me. The only one that's caught my eye since the Rogue knives is the matte Blade's Subtlety.

Now for the Manderville weapons I'm gonna be grinding for the SAM one first. I love the blade, I love the glow, and I love the sheath and to top it all off its been my new class for this Savage tier so I gotta grab it for the glam.

  13. This is gonna be a weird and obscure take for anyone unfamiliar with WoW.
These weapons remind me of that batch of weapon icons that were put in the database around.. I wanna say late WoD or Legion. I know they are definitely used in the Legion Order Hall questlines as a "reward" fort he final quest. They are black silhouettes of weapons with a blazing aura outlining them. Just saying what these remind me of.
Personally I love PAL, WAR, GNB, SAM, DRG, MCH, RDM, SMN, BLM, and WHM.
Also, does the SAM weapon seem significantly longer than most katanas to anyone else?
