  1. Hermes' depression is that he still FINDS wrong doing (accurate wrongdoing) in wronging things that exists. It's not so much that life has no meaning, it's that he finds that he finds society stagnant and not progressing to be better but rather sit back in a faux idyllic society in the same way we find conservatives always lambast about tradition and "back in the day" and that kind of bullshit when it never actually existed. Killing living creatures to fit their "perfect" world rather than trying to aid imperfections to teach and learn, to uplift is what bothers him specifically.

His mindset is very much ahead of his time, in the same way some people who are vegan choose not to eat animal products to avoid needless animal suffering, because we don't technically need slaughterhouses and the horrible conditions in which we grow meat for mass consumption, especially in America. While I will still enjoy meat, and that I don't know where I stand on completely negating the use of animal products (they're useful and delicious) for suffering's sake alone, it's still suffering, and in that same sense, Hermes wants to AVOID it because he knows it can be done.

  2. "All this just all that I can ride your dog!?!"

Venat: "Break your chains, shed your burnance burdens, and show me your strength of well!"

    Translation: Yes.

  3. 4:29 To be fair they did introduce Chekov's device (Kairos) early on when you accompanied Hermes in dealing with the okyupetes

8:51 Kudos to Cohh's group for being such good sport. Definitely not a cult

22:38 The dog weirdly enough also has human braids reminiscent of one would be oracle of light

26:14 Would be cool if somehow someone were to teach the WoL how to use the echo freely

41:33 That's the risk you are willing to take when fighting lalafells. Those guys are dangerous ankle stabbers

1:06:32 Despite their utopian society, some of the ancients definitely have interesting tastes

1:13:52 Such an ominous moment, it only goes crazier from here. Very nice attention to detail on 1:15:25, reminds me of the certain move from a certain boss later on

1:28:14 Wouldn't that be great. Still not sure to consider the "FFXIV Necron" an "eleventh hour villain" since the FFXIV writing team is good at leaving things open-ended enough to add things if they need to

1:31:04 Emet is closer to a Nort than a Sephiroth, just needs to rearrange his name and add an "X" somewhere in there

1:40:12 This definitely inspired Jesse to make that one Chilluminati episode. If you know the title it's definitely interesting to learn more about it too

  4. awww… you missed some funny dialogue
if you talk to Emet'Selch after dragging him over the waterfall (before going to the next objective) he complains about how his robe is drenched XD
