Island Sanctuary has been out a little over a week and I’ve really “completed” the content in it, and now I’m in what I’d call the Island Sanctuary “Endgame” and now I’m going to give you all my thoughts on it now I’ve had some time to go into it and really explore the content!
Spoilers I think Island Sanctuary is some of the best content ever added into Final Fantasy XIV! Now the trick is WHY do I think that, check this video out to learn why!

NGL I'm kinda laughing at the people who said I'd have "no content to do" when I was setting up the Island HAVING FUN. My dudes, setting up the Island is ONLY THE BEGINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what are you thinking about the mount~ ^^ or can you do a review about the mount in the near future haha?
The results NOW are that IS is worth it for rewards alone, 4 mounts, a new minion, 2 hairs hrothgar and viera can actually use, rare dyes like metallic brass and gunmetal black. All great.
But will it be worth it after? Hard to say. I do hope they drop new mounts and hair here like they did for Ishgardian Restoration.
island santuary is a great way to get super cheap cordials for your gatherers which is a huge lift on your time spent gathering collectibles for more cordials.
I had a ton of fun and connections socially while leveling this thing. I still can't believe they gave us a complex market system, but I'm set up to build cowries at this point, and it just feels nice. I'm very much looking forward to future updates.
I love Island Sanctuary I'm about to get to rank 10 😛 and have some extra cowries… and I was struggling first cuz I bought the shirt at lvl 4 lmao, but I have everything topped off and everything seems to be progging smoothly, I just adopted 10 more animals yesterday x)
And yes, I spend most of my time either there or in my private home 😛

But how do I unlock this? Guessing I'm not required to own SB expansion 😑
It’s a nice addition to the game, but not what I was hoping for.
I was anticipating a place to make our own, customizable. I wanted to build a cabin how I wanted and a place to put all the housing items I’ve been hoarding.
I guess I thought it would be/could be a solution to the housing issue. Somewhere and something to make my own.
But I will be levelling it because I want the denim shorts!
I'm currently rank 5 and have only now started to figure out how the exports work, and let me just say it is more enjoyable that I had thought it would be. Now to get to rank 10 and acquire those delicious cutoff booty shorts for my bunboi 😀
I guess IS is alright, but what do you do after you've gotten all the rewards? Cause being real here, if you optimize your workshops for max seafarer's cowries using solver you will get all the worthwhile stuff in 1 month
Any tips on websites for best things to build and best animals to have to build those items to then sell?
Is it the same for all users too? The popularity and demand for all items? I'd just like to get the best bang for my buck. 👍🏻

Now that I have 100% completed my island, I am actually enjoying it even more now. I can just relax and focus on my workshop optimization. I do wish there were more customization options, but maybe we will get more in the future. Over all, I am more than pleased with this solid start to island sanctuary
Few things I hope they add in the future is interactive landmarks, like have a purpose for those and not just places to look at. The bathhouse is an exception, probably why it's popular in my friend group. It looks nice and it's functional. The cabin is suppose to be your getaway hideout place, all it has is a divider to your "bedroom" and an army of mammets crowding the place. I feel like it's not even mine haha.
I enjoyed it. Completed it 2 days ago and was looking forward to seeing what the future brings, then I learned that the Otter fountain requires expert crafting to create. I have all my X books for 8 crafters but I am not a leet crafter so I have to do without or buy the parts on the MB at about 1.3 mil gil, lmao…F that. Bad move SE, keep the crafters out of it.
Sorry but island is just a eureka 2.0 it is not fight grinding but gather grinding. You can relax if you have rank 10 and bought all the item's. Then you can relax. Because most people want to have everything now but can't.
Sadly, at work so can't watch at this time. Will for sure on lunch. Just want to say, would be worth it if they implement player housing on the island.
I found it funny that people in the Novice Network a few days ago were all like yeah I'm only doing it for this one hair style, or this clothing glam as they don't want to put in the 'work'. Yet unaware that it only took two weeks of casual play to max the island, and once maxed you get even more glam options and a new mount that gets listed and can fly and that speeds up everything right there. Plus this will tie into new glams and items in the future. Plus it literately is a touch it once every two weeks kinda deal once you have it all set up. If you have the mats to run the workshop for two weeks, great, say bye to it and not touch it again until then. You don't HAVE to keep up with the animals or crops. There not going to poof on you. Granted the items that use stuff from such will go for more crowns you can totally do it with just gathered stuff. You also don't need 100's of items, or spend hours of farming. Most items need only 1 of a couple of things, and max at 4 of a single item. I can see what I need and spend less then 10 mins gathering and have everything to last me them two weeks. Set it, forget it, come back and enjoy the rewards.
You get booty shorts and a tractor motorcycle, the island is beyond worth it!!!
Hard pass. It's basically Eureka/Bojza for gatherers. But worse, because there isn't any cool relic weapons. Since gil is pretty much worthless at endgame, it's several orders of magnitude more useless than farming out a BIS set from savage. My time is better spent gearing alts to do split runs. I get to listen to better music while doing split runs too.
Have not unlocked it and not planning too. Looks boring
