Thee are so many theories about this maiden, and this is one I really love!

Thank you so much for watching this video.
My channel is focused on player perspective content, gameplay, theory’s and importantly game lore for Final Fantasy XIV.
As this channel has grown, my goals have evolved, but ever do they remain the same.
That is the creation of videos that mean to bring a smile to a viewer’s face or provide them with even one piece of useful information.
I mean to live up to these goals and the time you have taken to watch my content.

Good theory, I hope its true because it would make for a good story and I can see it setting up future expansions
For Allag Mhigo!
I like this theory quite a lot, and the cool thing is that multiple theories about who she is could be true, due to many characters in FFXIV possessing multiple identities/titles/relations.
Personally, I think she is a Sundered Ascian that is in a Garlean body, and that she is Emet-selch's Sundered Garlean wife.
And the cool thing is, this doesn't necessarily invalidate your theory. Remember that Ascians approach Sundered Ascians to take them back into the fold, not just on a whim, but usually when they're sure they've found one and they've proven to be useful. It could be that what got Amon noticed was his discovering how to make people immortal, and having done that for her, Emet-selch would be free from worry over losing her.
Of course the problem with my theory is that they never show us the moms or the wives so… It's more likely yours and she is Pashatorot or something, given her belt buckle.
I really hope this theory is true. We’re in for an exciting story if the narrative has her in it.
Okay, i have a more crazy theory, the lalafels on the trailer, were Krile's parents, the female lalafel was crying, because she left krile behind, this is how galuf find and adopted krile, as we know that at some point he was searching for the golden city (and also maybe how he end up finding eureka the primal)
It's a possibility, we shouldn't forget that Allag did hide in the New World. But some people believe that S9 might be from another shard. They even point out that some building found in Heritage Found looks very similar to ff9's Alexandria.
This was a fun chat on stream, and I forgot to say during this segment you convinced me of this possibility next to what I'm subscribed to already
She's definitely a Princess Sara(h) character. This character hasn't always gone by the name "Sarah" in the FF games and "Salina" is only a slight deviation. Your idea makes a lot of sense other than the color of her eyes but that can be explained by some story bits & bobs. I wonder if she's a prisoner like Sara from FF 1.
I thought the calamities weren't localized to Eorzea but affected the whole of Eithrys
no….she would have Red Eyes. those lines are about the ancients and zodiark
God I hope not. I'm so tired of CSU3 going back to the Allagan well. You make a strong case, though.
I've seen a lot of people are leaning towards one of the remaining ascians, but I honestly don't see any exact symbols that are completely accurate.
But there is one symbol on the dress she's wearing in the character bios picture that you can find in FFIX. The emblem she's wearing if turned up side down includes the emblem for Alexandria. A sword with four wings.
There are other features that looks very similar to for example the wedding gloves of Garnet (almost looks identical) and the head accessories of Garnet during her wedding at the end of FFIX.
In addition, we got an image of heritage found and new housing models that are in the same style as Alexandrian houses in FFIX.
I think that the enigmatic maiden is Zidane's and Garnet's daughter.
Although who is inside her head might also just be an ascian.
Its not Allagan, the tech stuff in solution nine and the purple stuff in the story trailer are NOT Allagan yoshi p confirmed this during the Live Letter
I believe the maiden is in fact the Ascian Emmerololth or Emmerololth the Holy Queen Queen in ff12.
In Ff14 Emmeroloth was in fact killed by Kriles grandfather Galuf by transporting the Isle of Val into the lifestream.
Emmeroloth went to the isle of Val to investigate a mysterious primal known as Eurkea whose power was able to "grant the wishes of it's master".Most such wishes created weapons of great power.
What Emmeroloth wanted is unknown but Solution 9 tech does bare a striking resemblance to the tech seen in Eureka Orthos especially the tech seen around excaliber.
Emmeroloth is revealed to be alive after the events on the Isle of Val having shown up in patch 2.3. How she survived is unclear but she may have done exactly what eureka did and used aether to escape from the lifestream. perhaps even using Eurkea wish power to do so.
The final reason I believe this is possible is because this ties into Kriles story overall.
A bonus fun thing is the maiden asks "with your strength could you have held fast to that which is dear without sacrifice?" Something that sounds awfully like something an ancient would ask knowing that we diverted the final days.
I know it's less probable that it would be that way, but it is possible the theory of this woman being an Ascian(specifically Pashtarot) and the one about her being Princess Selina can overlap and she's both.
Like, she could've been a reincarnation of Pashtarot who happens to be Princess Salina and was recruited like Amon, which at some point after her body died she reformed another with her looks the same way Emet-Selch did on the First (which would give a good reason on why she doesn't have red eyes), or it's Pashtarot taking control of her body after the actual princess died(which would support the theory of Solution 9 being an offshoot of Allag that she's helped found, and the references to FFIX with Gaia).
Theory plot hole, if it’s true then the future graha timeline would never be in the first place, since he will/was the only capable of controlling the tower. If she is Selina then she would be able to control it.
Personally I think that Solution 9 is either the precursor to Mhach or the successor.
Considering Dawntrail is supposed to have plenty of FF9 references (considering they added Viper)…
One of the main plot points of FF9 was the production of soulless black mages used to invade another kingdom.
And then it ALL turns out to be a plot to save a dying world, Terra, by merging it with the protag's world, Gaia.
Gaia had created soulless vessels (specifically: Genomes, who have monkey tails) to carry out this plot, one of whom was Garland… who then created more, including Kuja and Zidane. It's worth noting that Genomes did not age (although Kuja was created to have a limited lifespan).
Garland spent millennia replacing the souls of dying Gaians with the souls of Terrans as a means of facilitating the merger of their two worlds.
Judging from what we've seen, some of that bit involving replacing souls MAY actually be involved in Solution 9. And the bit about the people of the Golden City being immortal? That makes me think of Genomes.
It's most likely that this has a lot to do with another Shard trying to survive it's own Calamity event and possibly one of the four Ascians who have yet to be accounted for, and I think there will be some connection to Mhach as opposed to Allag. (Black Mages originally were created by Mhach, leading to the War of the Magi)
Fun note: In FF9, the souls of the Terrans were stored… in Pandemonium.
I personally dont think so, Allag royalty are supposed to have red pupiled eyes, right?
I think if the writers are to manifest this idea, they need to explain some things. Namely why her eye colour is the way it is. Could be that whatever transference she performed caused her to lose the red, kind of reverse of G'raha's situation. And that indeed the Red eyes are something that might "overwrite" the colouration the body would have natively. And how she ended up in the New World. Because right now the lore hasn't established whether Allag stretched across the sea to Tural/NW as well.
I personally am skeptical of her identity as Salina, as I see her lore as something that's slated for Corvos/Southern Ilsabard and whatever the Allagans did around that area. Her name might pop up in side content regarding that area. Or even the MSQ if future expansions take us there.
To throw my hat into the ring, I would wager she serves a purpose similar to Arciela V Adoulin from FF11 or maybe Garnet/Sarah from FF9. Similarly to Venat/Lady of Light to whom the top spot at the poster was reserved in Endwalker, Enigmatic Maiden won't have crazy amounts of screentime in the MSQ but will be very important for the narrative.
I think given how Amon in Endwalker was abruptly retconned into being an Ascian, making Dawntrail have yet more surprising Allagan involvement would be like all those theories of this person being an Ascian, i.e. it risks feeling like something we've already seen done many times before. So I personally hope it's something new, something that's not Garlean, Allagan or Ascian.
