I'm Forced to Heal in #FFXIV…

The shame, embarrassment and regrets… they will stick to Kiwi and Jennicyde forever! But I’m just kicking back and having a blast with how terrible I am at Healing XD

  1. Just so everyone knows, I actually do like healing, this video is in no way me saying healing in FFXIV is bad. Not at all. I'm not pulling a Quinn. The title/thumb is to be funny and after this first dungeon (you'll see my growth and love more in Part 2) I got more comfortable with the class! Also if this is your first time seeing my content, know that this is not my first class in FFXIV, I have over 500 hours in game and just finished playing Shadowbringers. This is also the only class I have or will boost.

No I do not regret boosting btw, it has not hurt my experience and this way of getting to know the class was such a blast! Kiwi and Jenni were fantastic tutors and their patience was superb!

  2. Honestly for a first run, with the boosting so you’re getting an entire high level class worth of skills all at once making it much harder to figure things out, combined with playing with an inexperienced tank this could have gone a lot worse. I think if you leveled a healer naturally so that you could figure it out slowly as you level you’d be fine. Not to say you wont be fine with the WHM might just be a little more overwhelming for the first couple hours.

  3. This is painful to watch lol.

I see Asmogan instantly fell into the Cure 1 -> Cure 2 trap also lol. Just use Cure 2 straight up. They really need to remove the free cast bonus from Cure 1. It just misleads new CJR/WHMs into thinking Cure 1 is ever worth casting once you've got Cure 2. It's not.

You'd think after 500 hours of play he'd have a better idea how the class or healers in general work though :p.

Still I applaud him for giving it a go when it's obvious he has a fear of the associated responsibility. Can't fault him for the courage there.

Probably shouldn't have boosted it though. Or at least ran it through the Hall of Novice first. He pretty much handicapped himself with that. You can see he's got no clue what he's doing lol.

  4. Why of all anime to recommend someone who's reluctant to give it a 2nd chance would you choose Slime? It is pretty good but it's not what you'd call a prime example to go of off. Other than Bebop or AOT, why not JoJo's, Hokuto no Ken, Inuyashiki, Terra Formars, Death Parade or Death Note? Hell if you're looking for a fine example of modern Shounen battle Series' Jujutsu Kaisen would be great.

  5. Since WHM is my Healer Main besides my PLD and NIN, this was more than painful to watch 😀 But also reaaaaaaally entertaining. Love your Content (: Just remember: get your Cast Timing down, know fights and you are good. After all it is not your job to keep everyone topped, just to keep them alive. BECOME the Glare and Blood for the Blood Lilly!

  6. Im 100% Ok with boosting, as long as those who boost read the tooptips of their abilities and test things out. It merely becomes repetition and learning what works vs what doesn't in situations. 😀
I'm glad you gave healing a chance! It might not be everyones cup of tea, but it can be fun to try new things!
(Warning remember things will change abit for EndWalker! So be prepared to shift alittle bit if needed!)
