As soon as I saw the weather in the Black Shroud, I knew exactly what this was. (If you don't know, if you see this kind of weather, I forget the name, it means a rare FATE, which doesn't appear on the map, where you fight Odin appears. You need at least 20 people to take him down, so spread the word as soon as you see such weather)
It will have core concept of FF14 1.0. Monster have hidden mechanics. (Mushroom around gridania will puff up and you should not attack it while it puff so it doesn't release poison spore) Hit box are complicated. (You can use grovel emote to dodge odin wide AOE, Small Lalafel have advantage over rogadyn but compensated by difference based stat) No quest tracking. No AOE indicator. No minimap. Minimum HUD. Actions are stamina based (but called ATB)
I mean use the 2b panties but pair it with something. i personally have a glam that rocks A Gryphonskin Breastguard Dyed Soot Black Rebel Boots dyed soot Black Casual Baseball Cap dyed soot black
The funny thing is, I ran into the Odin fate as I was doing the sylphs rep grind last month and decided to treat it as any other fate and jump right in, this video pretty much encompassed my 3 attempts before leaving it alone. Continuing my rep grind I get a 5min warning on the fate and rush in to see 20 or so people fighting and him at only 90%. Suffice it to say we did not even get him down to 70% before time ran out. Still that was the best fate I had done loved every minute of it and looking back at it it definitely feels like it was made by a Fromsoftware fan/former employee
That is the most unique cat girl OC in the history of Final Fantasy XIV and if anyone steals her you will hear from our Moogle lawyers.
Honestly I'd be down for an mmo with the combat of these games.
the fun part is, exactly what it was like in 1.0
Shrouds where terrifying if i remember right
I knew what was coming when I saw the "tension" weather effect
Welcome to ishgard.
This is just 1.0's Black Shroud.
Where's the disconnect??
Alternative title, if FF14 was more like FF11
If FFXIV was developed by FromSoftware, Aurum Vale would have been an entire zone. That's the closest thing we have to a poison swamp, I think
This reminds me of one time where I was in a group preparing to take down Odin and kept watching sprouts wander into his fate area and get oneshot.
If it was I wouldn't play it.

Praetorium would be 3 hours and take place in a swamp
LMFAO. Somehow, I can relate.

This actually happened to me when i was starting out as a sprout. Was passing through as a botanist and got annihilated by the massive aoe.
then it would be an actual videogame instead of a cutscene simulator lol.
Nice Elden Ring pun.
dont encourage them i have no doubt from software could make a hard af and fun mmo and id waste my time trying to get gud XD.
jokes aside having odin come out of nowhere in black shroud and one shots you and leaves would be cool as heck
