Seriously though I am holding back my screaming because it wasn't that long ago that it was me playing ShB for the first time and I am SO HYPED. SO HYPED. You are going to have your mind BLOWN. This is legit the expansion. Pretty much the entire fandom will say Shadowbringers if you ask which story is best AND THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT.

I may have fallen out of love with FF14 over the years, but Shadowbringers was special and that cinematic is one of the best game-related cinematics of all time, hands down.
Also, the MUSIC. Not just in this cinematic, but also in the expansion itself is nothing short of exemplary.
I love the theme of a warrior of light for one world being a warrior of darkness to another one. Its poetic and makes you question if there's warriors for the other elements.

I remember my first reactions to the first time I watched this trailer in full, with context too and it was very similar to yours. The youtube algorithm brought me here and I'm happy it did, I love seeing Sprouts experience beats oof the story for the first time. Enjoy Shadowbringers – it's my favourite of the expansions still.
