  1. While I don't like to suggest it. If Squenix does NOTHING then you aren't left much to do since the systems in ffxiv are terrible to combat stalking, so I would suggest using a plugin called Visibility. Yes plugins are bad and bannable but just don't talk about it openly and you'll be fine. What it does is completely blacklist someone to the point where you no longer see them, hear them, or anything. It's as if they never played the game. And all you have to do is open it up and type someones name to remove them and they're gone. So its very easy to block a stalkers crazy amount of alts. If someone is completely blocking you from playing the game then I see using plugins as completely justified since its not fare at all to you that you can't play a game that you enjoy becasue someone is openly harrasing you. Also if he's using a plugin to make it easier to stalk you then you have to fight fire with fire as they say.

  2. yeah, fuck you Kevin. sad to see that you're going thru this. I have a friend that was/went thru something similar in game but they had an eternal bonding ceremony with them. So broke things off but he kept persisting and not taking no for an answer. so she just created a new character and moved on with her life. I feel bad though because she ended up losing everything she worked so hard for with her previous character — mounts, titles, and even a large house –, only to be taken away because some douche doesn't know how to take no for an answer.

I hope things work out for you.

  3. If you experience something like this, document it. Screenshots or recordings. Then contact FFXIV customer service/player reporting. Same goes for all other avenues of life. Don’t suffer harassment. It is toxic and sours way more of your life than you think.

  4. I’m so sorry that happened to you. Idk what world or data center you’re on but if you ever need help with this sort of situation again I can see if I can help at all, even if it’s just being there so you don’t endure it alone.

    Best wishes to you

  5. Not the first story I hear/read about something similar, and sadly it seems that SE support is less than stellar when it comes to taking care of stuff like this (again, from earlier stories – no telling how many dark cases there are and/or how much they help there).

XIV does unfortunately have some weird quirks (removing a friend from your friend list doesn't remove it from their friend list and so on) which makes stalking, well, easier. Most often you don't even need plugin/mods to track people.

At this point I'd almost prefer if BLing someone just removed their existance for you – no social channels whatsoever, no visibility and no queueing, I'd be willing to suffer slightly longer queues. No idea how feasible it would be for them to do, and since it's been like this for a while, well, won't hold my breath.

    Stay strong!
Not much else I can say or do, unfortunately 🙁

  6. SE does nothing about stalking or harassment. Screenshots and recordings fall on deaf ears and blind eyes. You can even highlight where in the tos it's a violation, gms do nothing. If you clap back though you can bet you'll be warned or banned if you do. It's disgusting that they do nothing despite evidence. Blacklisting and ignoring does nothing in these situations. I wish you well though.

  7. I'm sorry you had to go through that, I wish SE would take these kinds of things more seriously.

I've had a couple weirdos approach me in my tells simply because of my character and how she looks. I do not dress her in the usual nsfw glams, I tend to dress her modestly.

Yet, that still gets creeps in my tells trying to flirt with me by sending overly obvious creepy vibe friendly compliments. Normal compliments from friends are one thing, but overbearing compliments from strangers are another. Thankfully, it usually ends when I tell them I'm a guy, and it ends up with me being ghosted. Lol

  8. It's really sad whenever someone suffers crap like this when all they want is to make friends and have some fun, however yours is exactly the kind of response these sicko's thrive on. The only way to deal with it is to document everything, NEVER respond to them, report them to customer services and if they don't do anything, contact the police. I really hope things get better for you moving forward and that you're able to enjoy the game again.
