  2. I'll be honest. Number one threw me for a fucking loop, because I'm also taking a break from the game. I mostly just raid and that's it if I didn't have the commitment I'd stop. So I fully understand just walking away because this game is huge and can easily consume you.

But… Really? They thought you were a femboy? I like them, sure but that's some weird ass projection onto someone who makes FFXIV videos. Then to get upset that their… Headcanon of you doesn't match with their delusion?

People who act overly friendly or aggressive to content creators is weird to me. They're not sub human just because they're behind a screen. Hearing all this, Some people are just genuinely crazy.

Regardless of FFXIV having "the best community" crazy people are everywhere.

But I am happy to hear you're coming back. Whatever it is you decide to do, I'll be sure to watch your videos

  3. Good riddance, those people are that closed minded and delusional to force narrative on your appearance. To the messages idk what to say but to deny them when you can or ignore them. You don't need them. Cheers, glad to have you back.

  4. Why would someone think you're a femboy when you've said before that you're muscular and you like to work out? Did they not get the hint from your character?

And is this why Meoni doesn't show his face? He doesn't want to shatter the reality of his viewers who think he's a femboy lol jk

It's great to have you back tho. You've been one of the best and most informative FFXIV creators.

  5. Found out about you leading up to Endwalker, love watching your analysis videos of Sage and healing going into Endwalker. Love your content, and I hope things are better. I was kicked from my raid group (I know part of it was my own fault, I was very distracted by a personal project at a time) without warning and it hurt my desire to raid through Shadowbringers that I'm trying to make up for now in Endwalker. Do well, be well.

  6. "What do you mean you aren't a 5'1", 70 pound, maid dress wearing, uwu bait, only fans having, confusingly not actually female femboi in order to sate my own kinks and fantasies about gay men without a voice as deep as Corpsehusband REEEEEEEEEEE~~~"

Humans are terrible, worst thing to happen to Humanity since Humans.

  7. honestly, if I had the time to dedicate to a raiding team, I'd love to try it, but it's the scheduling and stuff for me that makes it daunting to join. If I lived on my own, it would be easier but not all my time my own.

  8. I really hope you dont go crazy on DSU like its gonna be here a longtime dont lose sleep over getting a shiny weapon that'll be outclassed by by the next patch. You nearly died speedlving to 90 on all classes you deserve a break king

  9. honestly, all this toxicity is coming from a place of envy .

these people don't know have a clue on how to "content create" or how to build a channel, so they attack you,
surround yourself with people that love you and be safe Cole

  10. Wow I feel this. First off, fuck any one judging your voice/face. That's really weird and super pathetic.

I've been teetering on quitting raiding and/or XIV for a while. The drama/people are honestly the hardest part of this game sometimes. Our group has 3 core members who have been together since ARR, and 2 who've been here since SB. We've cycled thru several dozen raid members, mostly healers. It's been exhausting because is usually a personality conflict and occasionally a skill issue… And god forbid when it's both. The group had a big meltdown early SB, and honestly I don't think I've ever fully bounced back. It really starts to wear on you, especially when you raid with really close friends. And now I just have no chill for anyones bad attitude.

I know a lot of long-time players who are starting to feel this similar type of burn out. So, just know you aren't alone. 😔

  11. I'm sorry that happened to you, no one should have to deal with the stuff you dealt with; You are just doing your own thing and you shouldn't be compared to others like that. I've been pretty silent but I love your videos and they help me have a understanding on so many things in the game, but when this vid was released and heard your story and how much familiar I was to something like this I couldn't help but comment. What you are doing is commendable for how much effort you put into them, don't let the hate get to you as they only do it to feel better about themselves or try to get something out of your despair.

I've been in a similar situation and I too went into a downward spiral of feeling like nothing or that I should quit altogether. It was rough, but knowing there are those out there who truly care for you should ring out to help give you strength.
As you said, we are mostly strangers on the web, but from one to another I hope you can find peace from all this hatred. Sending big hugs to you, cool cat man

  12. ive been watching your content for maybe a couple weeks but ive vastly appreciated all your content and i feel you always brought a unique twist compared to other xiv content that i enjoyed, im so sorry that you had all of that happen, noone should deal with stuff like that let alone over something where youre supposed to just have fun, but im very happy you decided to come back and return, and i happily await any future videos/content you put out

    sincerely, a kinda lost sprout

  13. Sorry you've been dealing with all of this crap lately. I remember being annoyed at how stupid that person was for trying to make you look dumb over not very complex words.

It's not much since I'm a much smaller creator atm; but if you want someone to talk to that understands how it feels to get some of that bad faith treatment, feel free to let me know.

  14. Cole, I watch a few FF14 content creators. You're not my favorite, but you're also not my least favorite. You bring in something kind of different, which is why I watch your content. There are things in your videos that sometimes do make me roll my eyes, but I still decide to watch, and just "take the good with the bad", cause at the end of the day, I still enjoy it.

There will be people who are jerks to you, and this will always be the case. It is a fact of life, and you have to get stronger to deal with it.

Nasty things happen. People say and do cruel things, and you have to move on from it. No matter what is going on, you should continue your YouTube channel, and you should continue playing the game that you like

  15. Yo I opened the pinned comment before I started watching the video and I was dying laughing at "I am not a femboy"
It's not cool that people are giving you heat over it but imagining people getting upset about it is just so funny to me dude

  16. Hugs first off . I understand how it feels to be judged by your voice I have a higher voice just naturally and get mistook for a female all the time. Just know it’s there close minded ness. And remember 95% of the shit they put on you doesn’t have anything to do with you it’s their own insecurity. Just remember Madonna song human nature “ I’m not your bitch don’t hang your shit on me “

  17. Calling out an incorrect word is like… The lowest hanging fruit of criticism. Like what is even the purpose of it if you're not doing it to be like, "hey, thought you might want to know"

As far as the community negativity, I definitely think we collectively oversell how good the community is. It's a good community, a far cry from the likes of say League and definitely an example other games could stand to be held to, but pretending that the general garbage of the wider internet fails to find a foothold is a straight up lie. We have our seedy underbelly just like any other community.

  18. What kind of boy or girl you are shouldn't matter to anyone. If it does it's their problem. Someone once said the barrier to difficult content has never been the mechanics but the people. When I find a good answer to that problem I'll let you know :).

  19. A lion does not worry itself with the affairs of sheep. When people criticize you, that lets you know you're doing something right. Many of those people are unhappy in their own lives so they have to say things about you to make them feel better.

I like your content and you don't have to show your face if you don't want to. I just like the fact that you talk in your videos and I don't have to read 500 pages worth of text because some YouTubers who make guides don't want to buy a microphone.

  20. Damn… and wow! I am returning to FFXIV today (haven't played since 2017) and I tend to avoid raiding in video games because 1. you meet some of the most toxic people in raids and 2. PTSD/Panic Disorder. I hope I am able to meet friendly people like you and hopefully avoid the pettier people.
Best of luck to you! A game isn't really a game unless it's fun though, right? So hopefully you can focus on what you enjoy and end up appreciating, perhaps because you dealt with the occasional douchebag.

  21. What in the actual fuck was number one about ?! You make an assumption (based on stereotypes) about someones appearance and when it doesn't match you get mad… First, all this short, twink, skinny femboy thing feels very fetishizing so that's already disgusting to begin with, go into a capital city look at some male viera or mi'quote and shut up. But then why would you even comment on someones body, that is gross, especially when you've talked about your fear of being on camera. Also femboys have to be some skinny twink or nothing ? I'm a fat ass fucker and if I want to be the femmiest femmy femboy I will (and occasionnaly am). Homophobic and fatphobic, gurl the trash is out in force ! Oh and trap ? Really queen ? We're still using that ? K.
That and all the rest are a lot to deal with, no wonder you were so down on twitter. I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope you're doing better and that this new raid group will bring you some joy back.

PS: to whomever commented on your sexuality, suck a dick and choke, k bye

  22. If people leave based on your looks that is the pettiest thing possible. You literally make some great videos and you're a handsome guy so I don't understand that at all. I don't understand the obsession with femboys like wtf lol

  23. I'm truly sorry to hear all that happened in tandem and it's understandable that you thought of quitting. Do what you think is best for you and take the time to decide and recover from it all. People can be horrible to others, especially when they're screaming at their screens.

I've been following you for a few months, it's been really helpful to find out and learn about the many parts of ff14 there are. I really appreciate it and I wanted to thank you for it. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best of lucks.

  24. I just started raiding end of last patch. FC member put static together w/FC so i was in. Another guy that brought me and my wife into 14 and the FC from another MMO i asked him if he wanted in. He came up w/ reasons why he wanted to but couldnt b/c of schedule. I didn't get the hint b/c im a grown ass man and if i don't want to do something i just pass. well schedule gets changed and he goes out of his way to not be on during raid times even though I see him on my friends list playing other games. I guess im the a-hole for making him look like a flake b/c where we talked everyday played all kinds of games together he doesn't even talk to me anymore. I'm ok though, its nice when toxic garbage takes itself out.

  25. So successful streamers, YouTubers often get hate because jealousy. I’ve seen some of my favorite YouTubers get horrible hate as their popularity grows. I hope we see more content from you I personally love your content and hope you can continue.

I can relate, heavensward was my favorite xpac I was actively raiding and prog through the last tier. When stormblood came my FC disbanded after the first tier released then my ex husband and I divorced so ffxiv was really hard for me to play I’ve been playing more this xpac but the last two I have even tried to get into raiding or even socializing.

  26. I’ve always loved your content and appreciated your approach to topics. I’ve found you very concise and grounded in your explanations, especially with how others approach similar topics on YouTube. I think I’ve been subbed to you for two years now and all I can say is keep grinding bro, but always put your mental health first. Despite rough patches in how you may be seemingly perceived (weak minded people are swayed easily, their opinions always fluctuate), your body of work on YouTube will stand the test of time and will always speak volumes more than that easily swayed minority of haters ever could. I hope this made sense!

  27. I love your content, however, personally I have no idea what you look like, since I mostly listen or watch you job tutorials. I’m currently using the scholar guide. I know it can be hard, but try to ignore the close minded. I promise, there mostly jealous over that you have the courage to not only be yourself, but to share yourself.

  28. I'm so sorry to hear you're experiencing such toxic behavior, I had no idea since my only exposure to you Cole is through your YouTube videos, and you are always so respectful and thoughtful in them I can't imagine anyone not affording you the same 🙀

All I can say as a viewer who loves your content, you have been an inspiration to me, your thought-provoking opinions are valued, and there's no one else like you in our midst.

I hope you won't let the detractors get to you, although we know how terribly difficult it can be 😔 Whatever you choose to do, leave or stay, I trust you know what's best for you and I will always be a supporter of yours from afar.

Sending you lots of love and positive vibes 💓🌬️🙏

  29. I'm amazed that people thought you were a femboy lol it's pretty obvious that as hrothgar lover and player, you'd likely not be feminine haha and about your face, you look fine. I'm genuinely amazed out of all the things they decided to attack you on, it'd be your race well?! Weirdos. I say you do you. You're fun, I love your work, and want you to stay in game. Compared to other content creators, your videos always feel fresh. They feel like they're doing their own thing without trying to copy the vibe from other FFXIV content creators.

  30. Stopped watching after you said you were accused of trapping people…but only because now I can't stop picturing your Hrothgar in the Omega M suit and doing the Catherine Zeta Jones thing from the movie Entrapment. <3

In all seriousness hang in there and I hope you and your partner are keeping safe and healthy.

  31. I find your content to be really good. Some of it involving numerical breakdowns are a bit over my head as a casual player, but I can still appreciate the work that went into it. I’d hate to see you go. I get what you mean about confidence and being sensitive to betrayal. I think it stems from your past trauma as does mine. A truth that could help you is that some people are just shitbags and you shouldn’t care about their opinions. It’s hard to ignore, I know, but you can’t internalize that negativity. You have a sting following; just keep doing you and being your best self.
