Now that Final Fantasy XIV’s new Dawntrail expansion is here, the level-cap raised to 100 for all jobs. So now I’ve got a ton of leveling to do again, and I decided to start with some quick and easy crafter leveling inbetween my forays into the MSQ.

hhey doees anyone knnow whhy my maiinn iisnntt showiinng up on lal achhivve
i need some fish. i heard a rumor that there is a lot of fishing achievements just saying
One thing I noticed about Dawntrail is that the quest accepted music sounds like a sped up version of London bridge is falling down Have fun with that knowledge XD
I'm the most zero effort person but back in shb i still made tons of cash my levelling fisher, catching blue crabs in kholusia. I levelled culinarian and sometimes i cooked them into chilicrabs other times i just flipped the crabs themselves but they both sold well and it took so little time.
I can understand the side quests, at least those will mostly get done as the MSQ bounces you around… But 60 fates without flying? Did you just need time to catch up on thanking new follows? I can't even imagine being the patient, I could barely do 60 fates when I was leveling Viper.
as someone who is going for fishing cheevos, i can confirm you will end up with a lot of extra fish to sell to culinarians/leve quest enjoyers/other peoples GC turn ins
Culinarian 91? You're not even halfway to 99 Cider!
Those eyebrows are a sin on Hydaelyn
Levequests are better, if you can spend allowances….
Zlatan looks like he cannot manage dealing with the ingredients needed for Alchemist or Culinarian.
i prefer this MSQ more than Endwalker so i am fine with it as it is currently, of course it has its weakness but its fun to me 🙂
Progress report. Lalachievements score: 16,960.
Wrapped up the MSQ, as well as the two optional dungeons, which involved the last MSQ achievement, the last 4 Mapping the Realm achievements, the last Freebird achievement, and Frequent Flyer V.
I decided to finally get rid of a lot of the old, low-value combat materia I'm carrying, the stuff that isn't used in the ARR relics, can't be used for overmelding, and won't be used for BLU. Since it doesn't sell on the marketboard for much, I transmuted it at Mutamix, mostly into crafting and gathering materia. In the process, I got the achievement I Got a Good Materia.
Aside from that, I picked up The Customer Is Always Right: Margrat IV doing weekly customs, and Well-oiled: Amazing Manderville Gunblade and Knuckles, wrapping up the second Manderville step on all jobs.
Not an uneventful week, but definitely a lot chiller now that I've finished the MSQ. Overall, I liked Dawntrail's story, but I didn't love it, which is about what I was expecting. Tentatively my third favorite expansion (hot take, a lot of the praise for HW is a mix of nostalgia and it being juxtaposed against ARR and StB). Battle content's been on point (I especially love the expert dungeon in zone 4), I enjoyed the music well enough (even the end credits song that I've seen a lot of people trashing), and the story is largely fine, though it isn't without its problems. All in all, a solid expansion, it wasn't as intense or climactic as Endwalker, but that was sort of the point, to bring the stakes back down because stakes cannot escalate indefinitely.
At the end I found myself waiting to see what sound he added at the end. This time it was good old Lahabrea with his cartoon villain laugh. o/
"We still are a little bit short."
Roll credits!
I'd love to see some videos of an MSQ playthrough! More Cider Spider is always better.
I'd like the MSQ vods since you don't want to stream on YouTube. I listen to vods/lives at work, which is 10 hours of streaming a day.
I was just dumping gems on collectable materials while I was fate farming, made a mil and a half in less than two days for about five minutes of extra work.
throwing my hat in for being interested in the MSQ vods! i’ve caught some of your livestreams of it but missed a bunch. it would be nice to see the rest!
Pleease make MSQ videos! You could split the videos by level (91, 92, 93 etc) to easy the editting burden xD
I would definitely appreciate you doing the vods here on youtube, as I tend to forget twitch exists.
Looking forward to the big house tour!
I did like the MSQ. It's no Shadowbringers, but it's also not post-ARR.
YES! PLS 😂 ADD THE VODS!!
I would love to see the cut down VoDs. I can't make it to your streams usually, so it would be awesome…
I'm gonna assume you have your inventory smushed for organization reasons but in case you haven't heard, if you go into character config and down to the bag icon, you can change your (and your retainer's) inventory layout to display all of your pages at once. (Extended/expand all)
My only issue with crafting is that you have to have the materials in your inventory. I wish it would work with mats in your retainer's inventories.
Am I making this a bigger deal then it is?
I'd love to see the edited msq, been avoiding streams because I'm slow af myself, but i enjoy the content
I imagine the cooking leves are nerfed due to the great Coffee Biscuit Bake of Shadowbringers. And I'd love to watch your playthrough, but odd work times keep me from most livestreams.
Are you planning on doing the crafter/gatherer role quests?
22:40 a blender is just knifes knifing very fast.
I finished the MSQ earlier this week, didn't take time off work, but am now trying to level my crafters. I gather raw mats to craft in bulk to make the stuff needed to craft, make my stuff I need for turnin, and then sell whatever is left over. I've been making a decent profit from that. But I'm struggling with HQ 98+ crafts because I'm lazy to do research, but your recommendation for rotation is going to be tested later today 🙂
Crafting/Gathering is scammers scamming scammers. We are all doing it.
27:05 — Thank you ^.^
14:02 oh that’s me 😂
As a newish player, I wouldn't watch the MSQ vid you mention. Gotta avoid spoilers for the story after all.
