  1. Ah yes, Moenbryda. Aha. I never forgot about her.

And yea, daddy Aymeric. What more is there to say about him? He's a good guy. And handsome. Though I couldn't catch what you said about him before the music montage of Aymeric. Which is highly deserved.

  2. The annoying thing with Moenbryda is that it had to be set up in a way where despite Aetherytes and Linkshells existing, some how the rest of the Scions were too late.

  3. the fight against the yeti was more interesting before. you had to throw the snow ball at the boss to stun him but they changed it when they simplified every dungeon for the bots to be able to do it.

  4. Everyone loves Baymeric!

This has spoilers for people who haven't played through the ARR patches, but I know you are in Heavansward:

I spent a huge chunk of the ARR patches yelling at Alphie to get a coat I was so excited when he was wearing one in the Heavansward opening cinematic. Also on replay I'm pretty sure Ilberd was trying to let the Ivy escape. Every time it was just the Braves she was getting away until the Domans showed up. We must have been driving Ilberd batty by not catching on to him, but still messing up his plans.

  5. I love how the game brings up the prospect of a monarch abolishing their own absolutism and instituting democracy and actually goes into the mechanics of why it would horribly backfire on her.

And yet she remains determined on it all the same and this doesn't just get brushed off with "oh but having a monarch is just the right and proper way". Nanamo's wacky little idea of political emancipation is naive but respected by the narrative and I love that.

  6. Roaille's name being pronounced like "Why you" I believe is an artifact of them transliterating from French (pronounced something like "Royeh" but with the throaty R that sounds a bit like a W and the ending syllable short enough it just sounds like "Roy/Rye") to Japanese (where it is pronounced like "Ro-a-yu") back to English (where they changed to a more accurate-to-anglicized-French pronunciation of the first letter, but kept the full last syllable from the Japanese pronunciation).

  7. It's kinda overwhelming getting bounced back and forth between garlic bread, primals, ishgard, ascians, crystal braves, and uldah traitor and monetarists issues. Back when these pieces of story came out we had 3-4 months to process each dump of events at least. But the payoff is great regardless of when you get to it.
