  1. Didn't Yoshi-P give the dev team a 1-month vacation after 3.0 released? Because they were in full crunch trying to get the expansion done? If so, that explains 3.1's extra 30 days in the data. I don't have a source sadly but I remember hearing about it.

  2. My prediction for the 7.0 release was initially Dec 1st week same as that of EW but putting everything into perspective, the dates for each upcoming FanFests are still probably due to Covid so I am inclined to say Tokyo FanFest will probably happen Jan 2024. As much as I want 7.0 to drop earlier, it may be pushed back to Feb 2024 or Mar 2024, a month after the last Fanfest since I will agree that they will not do a Fanfest after a major expansion drop…or if this maybe another idiosyncrasy, they'll probably drop 7.0 on the same month as Tokyo Fanfest or a week or 2 after…well just my predictions. 😀

  3. When will the team show us some gameplay with the new graphical upgrades? 7.0 new story new gameplay and graphics engine upgrade will make this the biggest release so far 😎

  4. They said they were moving from the previous 3.5 months between patches to 4 months so 6.3 should be in December 2022 so we can expect 6.4 in April 2023, 6.5 in August, and the initial thought would be that December would see the release of 7.0. Though since Yoshi P said he doesn't want to release another expansion in December so I would guess February of 2024 for 7.0 (that I am titling "Revenge of the Mandragoras" in my head cannon until I find out otherwise).

  5. i think thta your timeline feels good, but i also think that 6.3 through 6.5 could also be delayed slightly more since they are also working on bringing new data centers and worlds online currently, especially since there is a confirmed new NA data center alone set to release on November 1st so it would be giving them time to make sure that the new data center[s] and worlds have time to get up and running before the releases of the patches.

  6. Love the content, i think the 7.0 will be in early April, in SE context inmediatly releasing the Flagship of the year after closing the past cycle will be pretty good in terms on finance data, and on Yoshi-P account i think it wil drop early April because of the 2024 Golden Week, which is pronosticated form 29 April to 5th May 2024, if he wants to avoid overlaping a launch with holydays they must launch really early April or mid late May.

And thinking on the time gap, i was thinking about a 6.6 but i see poeple said Yoshi-P ruled out to only for up to X.5, but again he said the patch cycle for EW is not normal, so if they want to literraly do the second comming of Bahamut they may have the time. Im thinking about a realease on April 5th 2024 which gives them about 192 days from your predicted 6.5 launch, and about 3 months after the Japan Fan Fest which i do belive will be late Jan or early Feb.

  7. Personally, I think Japanese Fan Fest is middle-to-late January and we could see an April-to-early May release. Originally, the Endwalker release was two weeks prior, but was pushed for polish reasons. So, 238 – 14 = 224 days. 224 days from Sep 26 would put it on May 7th; 100 days after January 28th (same amount of time from end of last Fanfest during Stormblood and start of Shadowbringers).

  8. it most likely 2024 summer i think they want to put it back to the consistent timeline cause of the delay with endwalker isn't really a expack timeline in decemenber i've been playing ffxiv since 2015 so it really makes sense to me a expack of ffxiv would come out in summer after 2 years just seems like that's how they always done it…. endwalker felt very weird coming out in december man idk it was jsut weird to me lol so 7.0 in 2024 summer sounds about right man.

  9. if not for the late fan fest i would have expected the new expansion to take less then 2.4 years as well they learned to adapt to the current situation and Endwalker feels bigger then the other expansions and they probably shouldnt take another extreme step like that again straight away.

  10. Damn, makes you wonder and hope Blizzard will take up on more consistent patch updates as they claim they will have for Dragonflight. I am looking forward to the 6.25 patch update for the new criterion dungeons.

  11. In Vegas we'll get 7.0's title and the job silhouettes, in London we'll get art of the new jobs and the new cities, and in Tokyo we'll get the teaser trailer. Start looking for NPCs with one of the new jobs by 6.4's MSQ.

  12. Summer 2024 seems likely, not just from a historical data stand point but financially, we don't know any big square games coming out then. We have Crisis core reunion coming out soon, and then FF16 Summer 2023, FF7R next winter. And then FF14 7.0 summer 2024 sounds accurate

  13. This makes logical sense. Your visual data points do not include the minor patches that release content (ie. 6.25, etc.), so the actual periods "without new content" are not likely to be as long as it looks from a first glance.

  14. He said every major patch would be 4 months, with us getting smaller ones every month. So depending on when 6.3 comes out, wether it is December or January is a big determination factor. If 6.3 comes out in December, 6.4 will be April. 6.5 will be August and 6.51 to 6.58 s will end the year off. next expansion will be announced I'd assume a little before. So at E3 of 2023. And the expansion will come out in 2024. Depending on when they want to release that, it can be at any time of 2024.

  15. I dunno what is more Nerdy. Quazii to embrace his inner Astro to foresee the 7.0 launch date or Yoshi-P trying to launch Endwalker on a super rare moon event xD
Man in all honesty tho i love that we can all be just nerds in here <3 Impressive work Mr. Quazii-san!
