  1. I agree with the sentiment of the video, the samurai changes sound really lame an make kenki useless. That said I'll say this goes beyond the "casuals", there's a lot of high end players or just your meme savage player that can't play for shit without catbot. The thing resolves mechanics for them that almost feels like cheating and make stuff easier. So I feel it's also a situation of making the game "dumbed down" hard content while at the same time they bitch about the simplification of the jobs so to me it feels like hypocrisy and gam3rz being a stereotype of people who don't know what they want".

I think they need to go back to drawing board and see what exactly kind of combat they want. Just a bukake of dps every 2 minutes? Or more nuanced one with each job doing something different to help themselves or others through the whole fight.

  2. As a self-professed zero commitment gamer who is rubbish at all the things and can't be bothered to get any better (I just have other things to do), I can say I'm perfectly happy just doing the MSQ badly (and easy side content) and leaving all the hard stuff to people that enjoy that kind of thing and don't like me have mammalian flipper hands and zero commitment, I definitely wouldn't complain about the game as I can do all the normal content in my malformed sub-human state. As sseth said of late, games are not hard surviving as a deformed flipper human in central Africa is hard.

  3. True, you are right. imo popularity its going to kill the game. Making ezy for everyone to play it, just because they don't like the job is not the right way to do it. Just make ezy jobs and hard jobs for every class and that's it. 😀 And make a menu that players can read at the beginning of the journey with descriptions about the jobs and there respective level of difficulty. Problem resolved. And only update the job if is adding more "spice" to it.

  4. As a summoner main the only thing that annoys me about how easy summoner is is that it also has relatively low dps as a result. I’d love more complexity if it means higher dps again.

With that said, I really hope they don’t listen to all the people saying to revert summoner. I love how its difficulty isn’t about micromanaging resources but instead more strategic planning – thinking ahead about the summon order.

The only issue is it’s easy currently because the order usually doesn’t matter much and you have to use all your choices regardless. It could be made more interesting by having more summon choices than can be fit between the demis and modifying summons so the order has more impact.

  6. this is why I liked 4.0 summoner the most as a summoner main.
4.0 summoner was kinda janky, and one mistake (i.e. pressing aether flow when you have 3 dreadwyrm stacks) could ruin your entire rotation. However, what I loved the most about the job was the superiority I felt. A difference in damage dealt by a mature summoner and a noob summoner was so vast, it felt good to be good. The complicated 2 minute rotation becomes exponentially easier as you master it and it becomes muscle memory, and that's when you truly start to appreciate the top tier damage as well as mobility of this job.
In 5.0, summoner was made a lot more playable, ridding many of the extremely punishing aspects of the job. Which was great. But at the same time, much of the complexity of the job was also removed, such as the need to weave OGCDs during bahamut, or the need to force your party to wait for your aether flow CD so your rotation doesn't suck ass. But all in all, summoner still felt like a big brain job, though not as big brain as before.
Now we are a hurr durr press 1 button job that does no damage. Yay.

  7. Didn't like PLD, switched to WHM and loved it in SHB. Now I don't like WHM, switched to AST and love it. People just gotta learn to move around and try new shit if they don't like how something plays rather than bringing everything so close in line together. All these different jobs and we want them to have the same playstyles?

  8. I mean that's the bias with player feedback right? I feel the over simplification of jobs were asked for by people who didn't want to learn or try to play their class properly even though are most definitely in the minority. However those are the only people who send in complaints so its just misrepresents the whole situation.

  9. After seen someone "reaction" to the ones videos i alwyas try to go in the source and give them a like, is the least i can do, i wont watch it again, probably, but is what i can do to support. But man, Reacting became reuploading content again, it should have a limit to how much of the video you can add to another Ytb, or it will become re upload, like Preach reactions, its the same time of the original video, with nothing to add. Asmon do something at least, putting some arguments seeing what is chat reaction but even so, is putting 100% of people works inside of his videos. This isnt nice, this isnt advertising its just bullshit. Youtube editors should cut a lot of things in a reaction video. Otherwise they just steal somebody work.

  10. Love your work, totally agree, and hope you do enjoy making videos in the future. You got the attention thanks to leeches, just keep making the content you want to grow that audience.

Even as a free trial player who sucks and clicks the damn buttons instead of hitting the keyboard- gotta agree the game didn't have a slither of challenge until Midgardsommer.

But I have faith in Yoshi-P. Yes these are blunders, but apart from Stormblood's story, I've heard nothing but constant praise for what he's done thus far. Yes he's still part of a business, and he wants to make money, but I think the bad PR will tilt the scale into it not being worth it. The real test will be if criticism to what's been done this time (clearly legitimate and not just people mad at change) actually results in change, and not ignored. But the online store is getting intergrated more into the game, so maybe not.
