  1. Sold 3 suki mansions right after patch hit, woke up at 3 am, unlocked them, farmed mats, Up 75 mil. Profit for 4 hours farming D: yay workshops. Sort of seems moot now owning a large estate, and a medium private, with subs all capped. I feel like a gil hoarding dragon. :S I just toss 250k at fresh sprouts not on trials now randomly to help.. So I guess there's that. :S

  2. theres also a better and faster way to make the most gil with gc seals all you need to do is to craft or buy 99 of lvl 80 facet gear or accessories from mb and trade those in you get 160k gc seals in total in 2minutes and just trade those for the materiel 3.0 and 4.0 boxes you have a chance to get all the ARR/HW mounts and night pegasus mount from 3.0 and from 4.0 all the eureka and bozja mounts and copy cat bulb minion all of them sell for 10mil-40mil gil this just a method that i use but great video overall

  3. Materia prices aren't going to spike as much as you think for an Ultimate. During Savage people have to pentameld crafted gear meaning they need hundreds and hundreds of each materia (mainly crit+dh, some sks/sps, maybe deh). On Ultimate release some jobs might discover a certain sks/sps is more optimal which means they need to re-meld, but we're talking like 5-10 materia at most which the average Ultimate raider will be sweaty enough to have clusters or a stockpile for. Also, we're only talking about grade X at this point, since grade IX is only used in crafted.

Prices will probably fluctuate for Materia surrounding the week before the patch drop, but that's honestly because of people buying them up thinking they can sell to raiders. I don't think people should expect big flips off raiders doing TOP.

Food (sunset nibbles is popular is popular in a lot of melee/tank builds) and grade 7 tinctures (STR/INT/MIND) might sell decently enough, but not guaranteed right away. Playing the marketboard for raiders ends up being a convenience game, and I doubt people will need the convenience in the first week. Though keep in mind if you're on a DC that isn't popular for raiding (Crystal/Dynamis for NA) this might not be as big as other data centers (Aether/Primal).

  4. The simplest and most reliable path to gil is actually rather devious. Buy vendor gear and then resell it for 10x what it's worth. Takes a few minutes to organize and no crafting or gathering needed. Every single day I wake up to an easy 1 or 2 million for practically no work whatsoever.
