Yeah Red Mage is a lot faster now, but I'm still not a big fan of the Acceleration change, it just feels strange to make RDM more RNG reliant as well as giving it a mini instacast. Great video as always Bio!
Also interesting thing to note about Resolution, you can clip it through adds while targeting the boss and even if the boss is on the other side of the room like 30 feet or so. It will still hit both the boss and the adds for lots of damage which is fun when pulled off. ^-^
I definitely still need to get used to the Acceleration change, cause for me sadly even at 90 it feels awkward to use but the tip about impact damage increase is useful as I didn't know that. :3 An awesome video as always though!
I've never played 14 but I know I'm a Red Mage main
I hope you cover monk next whenever that comes to be. The aoe rotation now being good and all.
Possibly my favorite Red Mage change was making Moulinet trigger your Finishers. Trash Mobs are all too fun to deal with now that I can choose to unleash the ultimate magicks upon them. Do you find yourself trying for one or the other more often? I find myself trying to set off VerHoly more than VerFlare, but that's just me.
I absolutely love rdm but my god does it feel incomplete before level 70. And I think the big thing about acceleration that makes it feel so weird now is the fact that it went from a proactive ability to a reactive one. Where we used to use it pre-pull and then on cooldown throughout fights we now just sorta have to think of it like an offense only version of swiftcast that let's us get verstone/verfire procs whenever we don't have one
I picked up rdm right after ew drop, and I always learn a job to 90 asap so I can set keybinds for everything. This was really helpful to learn the most recent changes since most of what I read on rotations to plan hotbars was still based on shb!
This thought just recently occurred to me: Red Mage and Dragon Age Mage would look good together.
