  1. Why say how to migrate from XIV Instead of saying new player starter guide or something?
There's nothing in particular that XIV players need to know specifically that wouldn't apply to any other new player

  2. I just got done leaving New world because of the Bot issues. Even with the new servers coming, people openly talking about having bots set up so they can control the market. Unless your guild have bots running to control the flow of resources. It will be hard to rise up as a group.

It is a decent game, but the lack of enforcement of the rules has killed the game for me. My guild has reported so many bots and after weeks the same people still around. I wish you all gl with the game, but the state it is in…bleh.

  4. (No hate). Great starter guide to new world, a game you’re clearly excited and passionate about. In my opinion it doesn’t need the ffxiv -> new world tag it’s just a beginners guide. I had the same feelings about wow -> ffxiv videos it’s just a beginners guide

  5. Anyone hear anything about if there is any more GPU issues like that happen during launch. I had got it, then during early launch it crashed my PC. And seen many others with the 3080 reporting the same issue. So checking before I risk it again.

  6. I guess my biggest questions would be geared toward what kind of content outside of PvP and expidungeons is there to do in New World for a player who might more enjoy PvE content? There was a brief mention of PvE content here, but it left me somewhat confused as it was bundled in with wars for land and whatnot… And also: How social is the community? One of the big selling points for XIV is that you can always find a group of people to hang out with or do content with. Sounds like that might exist in New World in some form, and maybe I just need to look up more NW content to find it for myself…

I have been interested in the game since it was in closed beta but it was the PvP all the time mentality at first that turned me away. I'm glad to see they've pushed away from that a little bit, but is that content enough for someone who wouldn't want to participate in PvP at all?

  8. Brian, I like you man. I've liked your content, your upbeat attitude, and you just have seemed like a cool guy. Watched your videos for a year or two now and always found them helpful and you a fount of positivity in a kind of oppressive world. I loved that a fellow Texan had such a great channel and loved watching your videos and your duo videos with Chris.

I'm not sure what happened to you, but…I hope you find happiness. The bitterness stuff doesn't suit anyone well. I could tell you were getting burned out on FFXIV and needed a break, but it's almost like you held on too long and got REALLY burned out, and now it's like watching a messy divorce with the parent that badmouths the other spouse on weekends when you have the kids and in conversations with other adults unbidden where everyone else is put off by it but too polite to say anything.

I hope leaving FFXIV works out for you and that you find games you love to play and happiness and stuff, but the low-key jabs and pokes aren't good for anyone. When you said in one of the comment replies that "FFXIV is dead to (you)", I found that a bit shocking. I've played a lot of games and left a lot of games, and even done what I would say is "the last time I'm leaving" a game (WoW at the end of Legion, for example), but I've never said a game is "dead" to me, and always hold the option of going back if I have friends that play or they do something I want to see. I clearly don't have any issue with people taking breaks or leaving games, but that sort of view if things being forever dead seems pretty…I dunno, extreme, I guess? Like in a movie where an entire Amish community turn their backs on someone and refuse to even acknowledge that person's presence from then on.

I like your upbeat personality, I genuinely hope you find fun and joy. But this bitterness stuff is toxic to anyone's soul. And it takes SO LITTLE to not do it. Given the comments from others (and more tellingly, your replies), it's clear the 'from Final Fantasy XIV" in the title isn't exactly innocuous, nor are the snips in the comments (by the relative few who liked the video and in some of your replies) at FFXIV players innocent.

If that's the kind of man you wish to become, that's up to you…but if it is, I'll sadly not be able to follow.

I like your videos, even stuff like the general content of this one, but…that kind of bitterness just isn't healthy is all I'm saying. Worried for ya, man. : (

Be well and hope for the best for you and your family. o/

  11. If the reason you quit was time and kids then why move to another mmo? RIP my comment but I cant sit silent here… I genuinely do not believe you're reasons for leaving anymore

  12. I stopped playing WOW 2 months after Shadowlands and I stopped playing FF14 after patch 6.1.
Since 6.1 I have been playing other games until last week when I saw my brother playing New World.
If I can best describe how New World plays to players who are unsure if they want to play it I will say to them that its almost identical to Assassins Creed. So if you love Assassins Creed, you'll love New World.
