  2. I don't have a problem with the practice itself in isolation, there's a lot of reasons for it. Like working 40+ hours a week ands school and you just want to do the one raid with friends to chill out and have fun but don't have the time to mine up currency and rep to get the gear you need via RNG's good graces. HOWEVER, I'd argue as presented by WoW, it's morally ambiguous at best as it's a solution they're now selling to a problem they created like the reps and lasagna of RNG. Simply put, paying to win is being sanctioned by a co-leader of a AAA studio. That is a problem I don't think can be understated.

  3. Buy carries with real money mean you pay for other player so its illegal. Buy gold with real money then buy carries with gold mean you pay for blizzard, ofc blizzard will allow it.

  4. No legal reason? really? MSQ story skip 10$=300k gill, lvl boost 21$=500k gill, you can create new account or character-> buy boost -> trade gill. Its alwasy blows my mind when people say that you cant buy gill.

  5. I think for ff14 the tos will be changed in endwalker for boosting it would be the most logical time to change the tos as most ppl don't read it lol because they Want to play

  6. I can’t wait for the day when nerdSlayer makes the death of WoW video and it’s a 10 hour long videos or a 10 part series. And toward the end it’s just more and more depressing.

  7. It is bad because it means the systems in wow are not working and people are not playing the game the way people should be.

People are mad because of his position at the company and how boosting is ruining the game. They know the issue but won’t address it

He is new to the job so not his fault but it is another reason to giveup hope on things getting better

  8. I mean isn't this what phone games do? delude the value of real money by making you buy an higher numbered artificial currency to use ingame…

Problem is, if people buy the carries directly with money(100% cheaper than money to gold value) then how will blizz get all that juicy slacker money?

  9. So it's against blizzard TOS to advertise boosts in the group finder already. They just don't moderate it. They rely on the community to report it but all it does is hide the post from the player (at least so it seems)
They need to just put a filter in for keywords and it would cut down hard

  10. Selling for gold not real money, people wildin' out about this.

Selling carries for gold has been around for the last 18 years of WoW, Final Fantasy players sell Ultimate runs, I literally see every day people selling ultimate runs for $110, this is how MMO's work.

  11. They probably make a good chunk from token so they inspire boosting in user agreement. My thoughts that they need atleast ban advertisement in party finder and in global chat. (i dont play wow for 6 months so maybe im dumb)
They may really need that shit in game right now to handle all loss of income because of state of a game.
I hope they cancel .3 patch and rush it to new expansion to wipe all shit they had and make at least descent game.
tl dr either play other game like ff or take some HOPIUM pills with COPIUM gas cylinder

  12. It's like some governments want to legalize drugs so they can grab some money instead of drug dealers get all of it, it is what blizzard is doing, charging a "fee" to do "legal" stuff what is considered "illegal"

  13. I play on datacenter Light on ff14 and i see more and more adds in shout (general chat) in limsa. ppl selling gil and mogstation items online. So this is starting to become bad in the ff14 chat as well.

  14. The issue is that boosts and content skips are necessary and a good thing to have just the same as you should always let players skip cutscenes. No matter how good or important they are, just let players skip them. There's always going to be reasons people use that feature that you didn't account for, never mind that people just play games differently.

What's really different between FF14 and WoW is the culture itself surrounding these features. I know the FF community gets a bit loud and scary sometimes but the general sentiment remains strongly "play the game your way, but if you skip you're missing out". WoW on the other hand has this ridiculous social stigma it's built up that the endgame, top-tier raid content is the ONLY content worth playing (because it usually is) and if you don't skip you're just wasting your time.

FF makes level skips available for the convenience of its player base at their own leisure.
WoW basically pressures you into buying level skips. Because cash money.

Seriously who the fuck would play a game that constantly harasses you to pay even more money to play LESS of it wtf.

  15. In FFXIV you buy gil from RMT. Only advertisement RMT accounts are banned
Botting is also prevalent, they never get banned (or if they do, it takes months)

Not that I'm here to defend Blizzard, I only play FFXIV. But I don't like how people are hyping FFXIV and SE too much

  16. At this point I think the wow Leadership is shorting their own stock with me and are doing their best to tank the stock as fast as possible …… can’t complain , bad for wow , great for my short position

  17. Can't believe people were defending him over this too. It's incredibly tone deaf to do this now, especially after a lot of players and some streamers cited this as one of the reasons they quit the game.

  18. This will eventually kill off their WoW raiding scene, and the scene will be left with raiders looking to make quick bucks + boosters
I can already see the future of WoW haha good riddance
