⚠ SPEARFISHER’S INTUITION IS A LITTLE WILD
Before starting to catch this, know that within the duration of the Outer Akyaali swimming shadows, you have to catch all the fish required to trigger intuition, then actually catch Tebqeyiq Smelt. It’s very fun, but BE PREPARED FOR WHAT TO DO to make your attempts smoother.

🏊‍♂️Triggering Outer Akyaali Swimming Shadow
Tebqeyiq Smelt is found only in the Outer Akyaali swimming shadows teeming waters. This is spawned by catching 10x Hedonfish from the Western Akyaali teeming waters. Hedonfish are medium size, and fast. Of the two medium fish in the waters, they are the fastest. Catch 10 Hedon Fish to spawn the swimming shadows. You’ll get a notification and an icon will appear on your minimap when they have spawned.

📋Preparing for Tebqeyiq Smelt
Head over to the swimming shadows when they spawn. Before using it though, wait for your GP to fully regen to max. You may want to get a few angler’s art stacks while you’re at it too, so you can use Thaliak’s Favor. You MUST get intuition and Tebqeyiq Smelt at Outer Akyaali before the wariness bar is maxed out, so having Full GP allows you to use Baited Breath as much as possible. Once you have full GP and are ready, use the Teeming Waters.

🦈Triggering Tebqeyiq Smelt Intuition
Once you’re in the Outer Akyaali swimming shadows, you have until the wariness bar maxes out to get intuition and catch Tebqeyiq Smelt. You only need the large silhouette fish to trigger intuition. Dusky Shark is a fast, large silhouette. Xiphactinus is also a large, average speed silhouette. ONLY ATTEMPT TO SPEAR LARGE SILHOUTTES. If you are getting close to the wariness max, use Baited Breath. If you’re low on GP, use Thaliak’s Favor is possible.

Once you catch 3 Dusky Shark and 2 Xiphactinus, the Spearfisher’s Intuition buff will apply. The intuition lasts 20s and its message is “You spy a sapphire glimmer in the nearby waters.”

🐟Catching Tebqeyiq Smelt
Once you have intuition, Tebqeyiq Smelt will be added to the potential fish that can swim across your field of view. It is a small, VERY fast fish. Continue to avoid spearing anything except Smelt to minimize wariness gain. Once you spear it, congratulations! You’ve caught the first ever Spearfisher’s Intuition fish. Again, you have until the wariness bar hits max to catch Tebqeyiq Smelt. If you fail to do so YOU MUST START OVER AGAIN WITH CATCHING HEDONFISH.

Good luck and happy fishing!
