I recently completed my FFXIV Shadowbringers relic weapon after completing all of Bozja. It’s now my third expansion in a row acquiring the final stage relic weapon, but how important and powerful are they in comparison to other weapons in the game?

All of the relics I've ever gotten, besides one, were only done after the next expansion launched cause it's the easiest then. Doing the OG relic at launch in ARR was….something.

Honestly the fact that current relic weapons are just BiS for all 3 ultimates, both now and probably before Endwalker relic, kinda makes them worth getting imo.
Esp since you dont need it fully upgraded to even get to be BiS for ultimates, just the augmented laws order which means you can avoid the horrible 3 steps of doom and the lvl 70 dungeon farm

Only addition I'd like to make is how big of a dps increase the relics in Synced content, which includes Ultimates.
The 475 dungeon gear in TEA was mostly just a health increase for most jobs, but the 3 stat synced down weapon was close to 500-1000 dps increase for them all.
The same holds true for UCOB and UWU due to having the maxed out sync level.
The newest relic is pretty overpowered for stormblood ultimates. If people are doing them or thinking of doing them for non glam reasons id recommend getting it just for that. They are better for current savage as well, but its not as big of an upgrade as it is for uwu and ucob. Also bis for tea!
Well, got my first relic from 0 bozja lvl to 535 in 3 days, and consider, that i was raiding 3 hours each of those 3 days, so it could possibly costs me 2 days. So if you wish this relic , you will get him very quickly.
I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the Bozja content after holding off until, as you said, the end of the expansion. It's definitely still a bitch of a grind but I was surprised by how invested I got in the whole thing. Not stressing over getting every raid clear done as fast as humanly possible and needing my whole group to play optimally so I'm not stuck doing it forever means I can actually enjoy the content for what it is. What you said regarding the story, for me personally I was waiting forever to get an actual "war" story from this game, and seeing it play out, and how the relics were tied into said story, was a lot more enjoyable than my friends who were doing the phases while they were current led me to believe. I understand wanting optimal gear setups, but at that point I almost feel like that time, for all but the highest tier of raiders, would be better spent getting better at the Sav/Ult fights themselves rather than grinding for a barely better ilvl in content they genuinely don't enjoy (though it's obviously more important for some classes than others). It was nice hearing your thoughts on it! Do you have a favorite relic, whether from this expansion or the previous ones?

I do not like the style of the current ones I rather do raids then that while grind, in fact am doing eureka for the armor and the mount is it worth absolutely for me at least and am having fun just doing once a week for the exp boost thought hahaha.

They're BIS and I'm surprised anyone would honestly be confused about that?
When new relic weapon come out and due to the non use of material slots, will ultimates become easier ? Such as using resistance weapons as best in slot for ultimates ? Do they offer more stats than say e12s weapons in an ultimate setting where your item levels are synced ? So say when 6.x relic weapons come out will they then become even more BiS than previous relic weapons due to them not using materia slots ? Or are the stats basically negligible ? Love the content btw!
Not sure if you have a DRK rotation guide or if I should just use the balance btw. I’m a filthy GNB and can’t really grasp optimal DRK rotations since it’s not rigid. Lastly I DO hope you become a DPS for your raid group but still make tank content. Here’s hoping to see you making a video “my thought on Reaper as a rank # 1 DPS player”!!1
