  1. the Post Dawntrail Patch Cycle will probably be my favorite compared to all the previous expansions. Graphic Update, Alliance Raid Savage, Field Zones, Eden Ultimate, FF11 related content, more Variant/Criterion and as they have said "plans for Deep Dugeon", Beast Master and probably something like more 10 levels for Blue Mage, a truly insane amount of content if you stop to think about it. And this Ken guy in the interview with really great questions.

    good coverage Meoni, as always.

  2. so basically add more non causal content (that fine) and make casual content harder (not fine) simple put fuk the casual players in dt they get msq and that it(maybe beastmaster). it nice to see yoshi p listen to non casuals and simple ignoring the ppl who loved ew (the casuals). ew was epic for casuals player so much casual content to do but now anybody who is a casual ether become a midcore or hardcore or just unsubs i hope he can see how bad it already going with mixed review .

  3. I haven't played ff14 in a while(took a break from all mmo's), i really need to get back into ff14 gonna need to look for a new fc though. I will say i don't miss the hardcore vs casual bs, where the hardcore thinks everything needs to feel damn near impossible and the casuals who think everything should be faceroll.

  4. I hope that Alliance Savage will be less harder in terms of punishing some failed mechanic XD compared to actual savage content now. The most that I can endure is Extremes to be honest but I am glad for an amped difficulty. I hope there will also be 48 man raid in the same vein as Dalriada which I loved on how chaotic it can be but I hope they made it so that we can queue outside of the instance zone (Zadnor) rather than waiting inside the instanced zone. I also love Delubrium Reginae XD

  5. The Alliance Raid can only be savage in name only or it’s destined to fall flat on its face. Look at Criterion and Criterion Savage. Even with the best rewards they are too difficult for most of the player base. People wanted more difficult dungeons but not so brutal it felt like 3 extremes back to back. People want more difficult 24 man raid content but if i makes every boss feel like its own savage that will be more than the player base is willing to do. It’ll be ran by the hard core for a minute then be summarily forgotten.

The game is lacking in midcore content not hardcore content. At this point with savage 8-man, ultimates and criterion and criterion savage the Hardcore set has the second most play options (second to the casual set which still has the most) while midcore content is still relegated to Extremes and out of season Savages. The middle needs content too.

Also, as far as this tier Savage difficulty was fine. Tighter DPS checks? Most PF parties can’t get through as is. I’d rather see more mechanics per floor than a higher DPS/gear check. These people who are “sad” professional players beat fights they themselves can’t beat “too quickly” are so foreign to me. The last thing any game needs in 2024 is to be encouraged to design their games even more overtly to cater to streamers and world first racers and that is about the only path that would truly just destroy the game.

The best bet would be to make savage 24-man hit like extreme and drop gear that eases entry into the upper tier (savage 8-man or criterion savage) with then savage and criterion drops serving as bis for Ultimate. Of course this would require diversifying the gearing formula which we have heard nothing about and it’s likely not coming even though it is necessary.

  6. I want to see more on the FF11 alliance raid. I can’t imagine what armor they’re going to use but I’m hoping for Royal Cloak and Dalmatica. Also if they’re trying new mechanics in Dawntrail, I’m going to be very disappointed if I see a return of PlayStation tethers in Eden Ultimate.

  7. For the people who complain about DT beeing too hard, DT*s difficulty for casual and midcore content EW, was too easy in that regard. DT is how the difficulty for casual and midcore stuff is meant to be.

  8. I don't touch savage content. I have a great distrust of savage raiders due to previous experiences where I was treated like shit and thrown out of a static because my parse was too low and people were pressuring me to perform higher that was causing me anxiety which they couldn't "handle".
