  1. First, happy holidays and relaxing new years (when they come around):D
This video certainly was bit different what I expested, more casual. But hey I learned new things, like you can get company squad to run dungeon 😅. Guess this is what i get not running dungeon, nor caring to run them if they are not relative to main story.

As for what i do as solo player well… after resently returning back to FF14 I just wanted level my character crafting abilities with similar/same guides as you were using. So I take my pick and axe and go to overworld to gather all the materials. Usually i gather 99 and bit extra, you know for selling that 99 pile and then using all extra for needed for crafting. Really relaxing stuff to do as I listen something else on backgrounds (aka audiobooks or podcasts). I run without using game sounds But I love and listen ff music just casually outside the game.
So depending if log-off during/after gathering session, I can found myself, well back there… But usually I travel to log-off in upper deck of Limsa Lominsa. Since i have no apartment or rooms even 😅 never really used them either.
    Is there anything else?*shrugs*

  2. I love this. Your solo routine sounds so cozy and chill. This video is the perfect coincidence. I just started adding materia extraction and such to my solo routine yesterday, after remembering it was a thing. My FC is empty too, and I just came to the realization that I could use the company chest as extra storage for gathering and crafting. I just started doing the Ishgard restoration crafting grind now that I finally understand how macros work for the collectables.

So my usual routine as a fellow solo player is MSQ, 50/60/70, leveling, and trial roulettes–sometime just one or two roulettes depending on what tomes I need for gearing. Whether I dungeon with people or NPCs is mood dependent, but I kinda prefer the trust system, lol. Then I turn in my dungeon drops, craft/gather, send my retainers on ventures for mats and exp between all of this, and send them on the 18h venture before I log off. I want to make more use of my squadron, but don't quite understand things like affinities and all of that, that can supposedly net you cool things like MGP and scrips. But that's my fault for trying to min/max them, lol.

I've also been leveling my healers through MSQ roulette.

However, my main focus lately is semi-afking while running crafting macros. I want to be as self-sufficient as possible in the game, and maybe try to grind enough gil to afford an apartment and nice furniture to fill it with for my main. Since I don't raid or anything, it takes a lot longer, but I'm okay with this. There's no rush.

My favorite NPCs are the twins. And off the top of my head, two of my favorite areas are Raincatcher Gully/Upper La Noscea and Camp Tranquil, mainly because of the music.

I really should start trying to log in and log out at an inn. I tend to always do that in the exact same spot in Limsa's upper decks instead, lol.

  3. Its so interesting to see how people spend their time in ffxiv. I am introverted so get the social exhaustion thing. I like people and the ffxiv community as a whole but i am just drained easily and most times cant figure out how to start with social things. I have spent so many hours in ffxiv in deep dungeons. Its interesting as many of the players i have met going for the solo deep dungeon titles or that already have them are often folka just like myself that enjoy the idea of getting a little better at something over time and getting a cool thing to show my mastery when i reach that level but raiding and extremes are too difficult. Not the mechanics but the socializing parts of it. Someone once said that the hardest part about raiding is finding the friends to do it with. And i identify with this alot. Anyways ive enjoyed ur videos and look forward to more. U are very talented. Hope to see u in deep dungeon soon!

  4. Interesting to watch this series develop. I’ve wanted to play through ffxiv for years, but often hit a wall of some sort and couldn’t keep going. Sometimes it was social reasons. Other times it was life and other distractions. Recently though, I finally decided to tackle this goal again as best I can. Thanks for the little bit of inspiration to start fresh. I plan on streaming the journey as well, if anyone cares to be a part of it. Nothing fancy; I don’t know how to edit or anything like that. When everything is ready, can I share more with you in the comments on one of your videos?

  5. Really interesting to hear what your solo routine is, since like you mentioned, solo can mean different things to different people.

My main belongs to a very inactive fc which occasionally gets lonely but for the most part I enjoy playing solo and doing my own thing at my own pace, joining up with others when I need to or if someone asks for help.

One of my fav things to do lately is fish because it brings me out to secluded places and feels pretty chill (aside from some stressful big fish time windows lol)

  6. I love how wholesome your content is coming along! It’s like you’re having a discussion with us rather than just telling us the things and the stuff.

I really do think you have a spot for continuing making videos about what you see fit. Doesn’t have to be just FFXIV. I was so excited when your new video popped up and I’d really enjoy seeing more.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It’s really nice hearing from you again. ❤

  7. Also a mostly solo player "fishing main" so this was interesting to see. On the point of Potd Ive been to floor 170 solo and would recommend Warrior as its the most forgiving for self healing so you'll burn through less pots while attempting the climb but ultimately play whatever your most comfortable with and good luck title hunting. Kind regards from Ultros.

  8. I play solo where possible, my squadrons already max so I only send them on the 1 off mission I used them to level all my other jobs to 61, betwen doing EW MSQ I've been doing the beast tribes 12 quest only take 30/45 minutes future plan all jobs to 71 and poetic gear and level the trust while leveling jobs, I like the solo because there's no expectations put on me if I feel like leveling crafting for the day I can

  9. Honestly, your FF14 content is quite unique and and very casual, at least for me, and I do really like it.l! ☺️

I have been doing a casual routine too as a solo player. Since I just started this year and I'm on a trial, so I'm restricted from engaging with people or what I can do with the game.

But with lots of content to do still, so I'm still interested to wake up every single day and do things at Eorzea.

I will be looking forward for your future content. 😁

  11. I also play solo and i have my character log out sitting down or at an in. I always try to find a chair or seat of some kind. This is because i made a joke to a friend once that i dont want my characters legs to get tiered and sitting on the groud wiould get un comfortable. Now its tradition and i have a few spots i like to log out in like the azym step ir this dock in limsa near the rougs guild. My character sits gazing longinly.

  12. One thing I will say about Grand Company command missions, they are pretty much the fastest way to solo level to level 60 on all of your classes. If the NPC party you run with all have Offensive Mastery to the highest level they shred the dungeons way faster than the Trust NPCs. They actually use AoE attacks once they unlock them! They're not quite as fast as other players, but if you're leveling DPS jobs then I think command missions are way faster once you include queue times.

  13. As someone who used to be very proactive socially, ive gotten older/out of battery as you said. Used to always do the raids/ex on release but i dont find that urge to rush anymore. Now im having more of a thrill relaxing to my own tune. Great video. Subbed✌️

  14. hey there! im a relatively solo player from the small server of Marilith. i was running potd when you had mentioned it and was surprised to hear about it suddenly lol. right now im on floor 13 recovering from a devastating wipe on 2 saves that were both on 171. the biggest key thing i'd say for palace is to never give up. you can do it! when the save is a wipe, no biggie. just start over! it takes a long time but i think that is how you prove to yourself that the title was all worth it, because you will always remember that you had the mettle unlike so many others.

  15. Nice to hear I'm not the only solo player, people who know me always say MMORPG's aren't made to be played solo…

I started playing FFXIV in the summer of 2021 after I got really bored of World of Warcraft after playing that since 2004. Today, FFXIV is pretty much my main MMORPG and the best part is, two years later I'm still learning new things. My "main" job is White Mage and that's the only 90 I got, not because I don't play a lot but because I love taking my time. I used to play World of Warcraft and was in a guild where I always felt like I was behind. The endless rush to endgame… never really liked that.

So when I started playing FFXIV I originally started with a friend but because I took my time by actually watching the cinematics and reading the quest text, I ended up playing alone because he was doing other stuff… he rushed to 90 and a couple of weeks. Eventually he even moved to another server. Earlier last year I made the decision to start over, so I made a new character on a new freshly opened server and just slowly leveled my character, all by myself. And you know what? Now I don't even mind playing alone anymore… no, I actually prefer playing alone.

Got the whole world to explore at my own pace and I love it.

Anyways, great video! Enjoy the solo adventures, I know I will 🙂

  16. I'm a solo player as well. Played 1.0 – present. If I could play with my friends I would but they're not casual at all. I tend to have self confidence issues in groups cause I play how I want which can be inefficient (not good at rotations and stuff like that and my jobs are strictly tank and gathering jobs.) Currently restructuring how I think about playing solo. This is my story so other people come secondary to me now, which makes the Duty Support and Trusts awesome. It's really freed me to just enjoy and go at my own pace and be my own hero and play this like an actual Final Fantasy.

  17. Your videos are so sweet. Thank you! I usually have several "projects" I bounce between, switching when one becomes a chore. One of the things I've done is to start new characters to experiment with different races. If I really like one I will use a fantasia on my main. I'm currently doing a pink Au Ra female. I'm trying to get all the dance moves in the game. It's fun to dance when a bard is playing. If you know enough of them you can string dance moves together to make a performance. I also like exploring dungeons. Most people just want to rush through them, but the developers have put so much atmosphere and detail into them they are interesting to explore, either unrestricted or with Duty Support. They can also be useful for generating seals, gear for retainers and alt jobs or leveling jobs through Duty Support. Experimenting with different jobs and questing are other projects. Anyway, thank you again for the video. Please keep it up, I love your work.
