How FFXIV Became The Biggest MMO In The World

Final Fantasy 14 launched back in 2010 as a complete failure with no signs of recovery. After a few years of hard work it was relaunched as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Square Enix had a lot of work to do to main the status of Final Fantasy as an IP. After the launch of Final Fantasy 11, Final Fantasy 12, and Final Fantasy 13 there was a lot of confusion as to where the franchise might head next. Turns out it was only up. With 4 expansions, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers and Endwalker and an amazing cast of characters such as Yshtola, Thancred, Alphinaud, Alisaie, Estinien, Gra’ha Tia, Urianger and others. 14 broke mmorpg convention by telling a story rivaling the best in the industry. And with World of Warcraft’s continuous failures. and a little push from Asmongold… It was as good a time as ever for WoW players to give 14 a try. Naoki Yoshida had created a welcoming place for all of them. And they showed up. Its been an interesting year with the release of Final Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker.
