  1. The difficulty isn't in doing the mechanics, it's in finding a party that'll also do the mechanics. I had to party with randos for my savages back when I raided and it was like raiding with 1-4 missing players. It was rough. (before ultimate raids were a thing)

  2. i loved hearing/seeing you play ff14 made me happy to see the game getting the attention it deserves after playing it for 7 years myself, I dislike gatekeepers so much, even if you admitted to only playing it for the views, i would still feel the same thanks for playing FF14 asmon it was cool!

  3. This guy might have made the most completely based video with regards to anything in FF14.

"Why do you guys think Preach grew hair again?! Why do you think Asmon is balding?! BECAUSE ASMON CROSSED THE LINE!!!"

I'm absolutely lovin' this guy! Certainly helps that he's actually pretty god damn on point, too.

  4. Asmon certainly had a very interesting presentation for the MSQ and it was quite enjoyable. His and Preach's reactions to the MSQ were my favorites. Hope he completes it one day (would also be interesting to see his reaction to stuff like Hildabrand). Might be a while until there is a games/content lul before he has the time to dump a bunch of time into more.

  5. I don't have a twitter and I've never been mad about a thing a streamer man has said.. but it kinda grinds my gears that these people get mad enough to go do it and aren't even creative to say something like "asmongoloid" or "ass mangled." Do better haters.

  6. I think it's more twitter people who act this way. Most people don't really care either way. If anything they might complain that a streamer moves to their server cause now it's going to have a longer login queue.

  7. I honestly think its because new people coming in think this is PEAK FF14, and are excited to play, loving the new systems etc. But to a vet like myself, this last expac, Endwalker, is really the downfall. The gameplay and rotation has been dumbed down so much that jobs are just straight boring to play. To a new player they dont feel this, but to an old player it honestly sucks. Thats why i dont even raid anymore.

  8. ShB is the best expansion ever, story wise. But for people who like content – SB was the best. I have yet to see a mechanic that pushes healers to heal as much as Shinryu did. If someone can do MINE (min ilevel no echo) Shinryu as heal, you can trust them in your static 100%. Its such a shame that Asmon never made it to SB. But again, he does what he wants and thats OK.

  9. I’ve been playing this game since ARR released, so 10 years. At my best, I’ve dabbled with Savage (could typically get to the 3rd boss of each tier before I bailed), but I simply can’t put in the time commitment to go harder. And I’m good w that. Would I like to clear Ultimate? Most def, and I genuinely think I have the ability, but I know my limits. I wish other peeps would do the same. It doesn’t matter if there’s “streamer privilege.” Even if that wasn’t a thing, the same peeps would be POd even if the streamer very clearly completed it without “help,” bc in the end it isn’t about their privilege; it will always come back to jealousy. I hate it for the streamers that aren’t able to laugh it off like Asmon. I loved seeing all of these new players in the game. It’s just too bad that this level of backhanded toxicity happens in what is otherwise a great community.

  10. As part of the FF community, that's 100% true, but 100% of those people make up about 10% of the community, it's just they are the loudest, shrillest and most annoying clout chasers and twitter warriors. 90% of the community quite frankly doesn't care and just want to get heir experts done, their weeklies and log out.

  11. The fact of the matter is the people above and below the "red line" are DIFFERENT people and it's so disingenuous whenever someone says "the community" like they're one group. The people who get mad you're "carried" and get stuff donated because you're a streamer are the hardcores, and the people who are welcoming in the lower content are not and don't care when you do high end content. The hardcores are the toxic ones, just like in every game.
