HEALERS ARE BAD? Or are they adapting to bad teams? [FFXIV 7.0 Dawntrail]

People are struggling really hard to find healers to fill up their parties in PF, where are all the healers? Did they all of a sudden just get sucked up into the void? Answer: No. They just don’t want to PUG, which when I explain why will make a lot of sense I suspect.

  1. In the first minute I see "spam cure 1"
I play tank, boyfriend plays whn, if a cure 1 gets me out of death range then that's fine, both he and I hate the issue of once your 30 remove cure 1 completely, it's still usable, and I'm not going to say any issues with it

I literally made a macro saying "the tank and healer are a pair, if you have an issue with the way he's healing, then you can leave the party, cus I'm not going to tell him to change the way he wants to play the game"

  2. Bad healers are a thing because there is no incentive and no tutorial. SE made the healers that way. If i roll my face on the keyboard, i will keep the party alive exactly like the Ultimate Hyper Sweat Bro does and this is crazy. The Skillfloor and ceiling are to close to each other. After that we have the critique = you cursed my ancestors mentality. Afther THAT comes what you discribed. I agree its a loop but it goes way deeper then what you said. Also why are there traps like free cure ? To troll new players?

  3. The rule of thumb for me is when i run rulets as astro it's always a tank and dps fault if something bad happens.
Otherwise it's on healer. Some even dear to expecting that i move from my Ley Lines just because there is some funny red "thing" on ground. Preposterous i tell you xD

  4. I’ve only ever been chadded(?) by WHM more specifically the glare mages. It’s the worst when players’s hp need to be topped up and I’m forced to pop emergency tactics because the other healer would rather wipe the party and force me to do double my job as a barrier healer so they can dps. Especially when their job has an abundance of healing abilities! (Assize, afflatus, etc.) I’m already trying to keep track of chain strats and incoming damages 😭

  5. I dont wanna get too deep into it but I agree with the whole video and I'm kinda at fault as well.

I consider myself a good/decent healer but my cohealer…jesus, always late heals, ast cards, you name it but at the same time I rarely gave her advice or a time frame for us to sync up properly.

I barely said anything to her but I wish I would before my static leader kicked me out, 2 tiers playing with her and it really burned me out.

  6. Worst experience was a dark knight that just REFUSED to use any mitigation until we got to the boss and pulled every enemy in existence. Just spamming benefic considering letting him get KO’d lol

  7. I use the Chading phrase the opposite way than everyone else. How I see it, is the overachieving co-healer is chading the other’s free HPS they can give to the party but the med spam or whatnot is sniping heals that ogcds provide. Don’t see Chad as a glare mage, that’s just a bb healer that folds when shit gets real :3

  8. So I mostly come from world of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2, you don't really want to use defensives on every pull– is ffxiv built that you're supposed to use them all the time?

If the group I'm in tends to do solo pulls, I don't use the defensives. When I'm doing wall to wall I do use them lol

  9. honestly thank god ur addressing it some days I just cant fucking deal with PF because of chadding. I've even had tanks fucking chadding me, dying to BJ autos so they can greed flood of shadow and im like honey I don't give a single shit about your parse/ego do your fucking job

  10. oh is that why i keep getting commendations as a warrior.. i use the mitigations- i have them all on my mouse buttons with some having to hold shift to use. very easy to reach while i'm using my regular skills. i don't care if dps grabs enemies- i'll just take them off and i doubt they will have gone far because i always test the water pulling to as far as i can. there wouldnt really be anything left. if there is i screwed up and appreciate them bringing the mobs to me. i will however not do that if the healer isn't okay with it or can't keep up and we all die. i don't really care what the healer does. i'll just adjust to whatever they want.

  11. As a WHM main, the main issue I see amongst "bad" players or leading to nightmare scenarios is…
Just an outright refusal to cooperate by one or more party members. Mob pulls are generally pretty easy in Expert, imho, but the area that I see it the most in casual content specifically is 80-90 leveling dungeons. In those, you're basically faced with the choice of being at the top of your game as a healer, or taking the 30 to save yourself the pain and frustration of trying to get the tank to not pull into a situation you simply aren't able to heal out of.

  12. the fuck is nightmare mode ?? btw im prolly not the target audience here but i didnt understand like 70%of what ur saying your like "popping atomix mimaxarizer and that dude is not using toxic rghebvdp8stpsd" like i have no clue what all this ability names mean and i even have a dps/heal/tank on 90, so my point is if i have no fucking clue a casual will understand nothing xd
maybe its better to describe what the ability does than just saying the name, but again its prolly aimed at players with more expierence than me.

  13. Cat Daddy out here singing the song of our people. 🙏 I'm an omni healer because a) I like the jobs and b) being able to flex in high end content is super useful… but this means I know immediately when I'm being chadded. Roulettes and lower end content is whatever (I overcompensate or give sprouts a 101), but getting chadded in savage content throws me. Going into high end means you're married now, so you gotta communicate with your partner. 😅

Also, side note, Dark Knights who don't call out they're popping Living Dead make me shit my pants every time.

  14. 5:30 that right there. Is the reason I do pre mades that mentality. HEALERS ARE NOT DPS. I have wiped more to our healer spamming Holy and Glare than I ever have anything else in this entire video.

I have solo'd healed entire 24 man raids and 8 mans before and we successfully cleared because I did my job first. This is something in more recent days the community seems to have completely backwards.

Most players cannot survive mechanics without a healer you are not going to get as much down time as you want thats why a healer exists.

The idea that you can just sit and spam dps is the reason I just gave up helping PF or DF. I have wasted thousands of runs because healers wanted to play dps instead of just healing the dps they have or rezing them.

  15. One thing I NEVER SEE ADDRESSED, is DPS not using their MITS. They do so much more than you think. It helps, I appreciate it as a healer when I see the DPS Debuffs on bosses, especially during Raid-wides. Everyone's got buttons they should be pressing, you're not given a button to NOT press it
