  1. Been really enjoying Frontlines myself recently. A lot more fun than the other roulettes where you'll keep getting the same dungeons over and over. Really recommend it to people who find themselves falling asleep at the wheel with the other roulettes 😛

  2. This is a great video, thank you! I've been doing frontlines daily for a while now thanks to that juicy chunk of exp, it's nice to have the actual objectives clarified.

I'm curious – do you know what the exp is like if you queue again after already having received the one-time bonus?

  3. one tip that either wasn't covered or I just didn't hear is that if you get hit by an enemy player while on a mount you get a really nasty slow debuff that leaves you super vulnerable to attack

  5. Problem is I'm on Elemental data centre (JP), and for some reason I can never get a queue for Frontline Roulettes no matter what time I try. It always says "more than 30mins", and I could queue for over two hours with no avail. Makes me sad because I'm a sprout who wants to work towards those wolf mark glamours.

  6. Additional tip for frontlines is open your map and shrink it in a good spot on your screen then zoom out that you can see the whole map of the frontline and lastly click the "lock" icon so it doesnt close even if you hit ESC. This will give you real time map awareness for objectives, allies and enemy positions.

  8. I absolutely wouldn't recommend leveling off of frontlines. Queue times can be fast, if you're doing it in the 2-3 prime time hours, but outside of that you can wait over 2-3 hours and not get a single match. Pvp in ffxiv is absolutely horrible compared to other pvp in other mmos. Pvp in ffxiv heavily relies on full parties or more focus on a single target.

  9. You don't have to have a normal party composition. Have had a all tank alliance party (1/3 were tanks). Seen 1/3-1/2 healer team and alliance where there was only 2 healers and won with all these part compositions. Most important thing is stay with the pack, don't over extend, and play the objective.

  10. The worst thing about Frontlines is that it only gives good XP once per day. Getting first place in subsequent games only gives about 10-12% of a level. I find it so fun, and would rather farm FL when I'm out of Roulettes, but it's just too inefficient that I feel like I'm wasting my time.

  11. I miss how the mode secure used to be played before. We used to split based on which alliance you were in, alliance A would go left, and alliance B was middle and backup, and alliance C was right. Now, people just capture but don't defend.

  12. I did my first Frontline roulette yesterday, and I didn't get that much exp. Is it based on your contribution or something? I feel like I didn't do much. I think I got about as much as maybe a trial or Normal Raid roulette

  13. I feel like you said this but it's important to highlight. The experience you get from Frontlines goes into the class that you ENTERED, not the class you play as. So if you don't feel like learning the new MNK shenanigan or their outdated nonsense in Frontlines, just queue up as MNK and immediately switch a job you like playing like NIN or WHM… You can then play the entire Frontline as that class and level up your MNK without throwing a punch.

  14. Was wondering what you meant by "Frontline" Roulette but then I remembered, that is what normal people call it. For me it's "20 Minutes of Shame and amazing Exp". I hope I'll eventually understand how PvP works in this game.

  15. We havent forgot about pvp, it's just makes all the jobs feel really generic and boring, all of the things that make jobs fun are gone, exc…

You want people really interested in pvp instead of just there for a roulette? tell the devs ->

10mil extra subs = 100mil more revenue a month and just like wow, they will neglect and remove things with dumb excuses instead of really just balancing pvp, or improving glamour system.

  16. Frontline is also an ok source of Poetics. As a casual player, i use my daily PVP to get all my non-main jobs to level up slowly. its a great way to break the 60, 70, 80, levels to get to 61, 71, 81 so you can then also run Trust Dungeons.
The daily PVP gives half a level. Great for when you're not in a rush, but want a good chunk of EXP. You dont even have to setup your hot bars. Go in, then switch to your main.
The slow surplus of Poetics can then also be used to buy the max leveling gear sets for each expansion range.
if you're planning a slow, get everything to 90, this is a great addition to the various options to get you there.
    good guide.
