Guessing Final Fantasy 14’s Full Story Based On Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

MinnMax’s Ben Hanson talks so Final Fantasy 14 superfan Sarah Podzorski and tries to guess the full plot for the game and its expansions based solely on its depiction in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. The music game has characters, bosses, and a mountain of music from the game including a bunch of tracks from Alexander. 1. I wish I could transplant my experience with FFXIV directly into people like Ben because I know it's too daunting to play through from start to finish. Let's just link brains so you can experience the high highs and know all the context of why people love it so much.

  2. Always love seeing more Theatrhythm content, seems like a lot of people slept on that release when it's actually tons of fun. I was planning on doing what you did Ben and try to get some of or most of the story of the FFs I never played by playing through their songs on Theatrhythm like FF5. Maybe that isnt such a good idea after all lol.

  3. It's hard to tell from the vid, but are the songs really drowned out by those clinks and clangs from hitting the beats? I'm not familiar with the theater rhythm games but I'm curious about it because I love the ff series. But my God are you really listening to that the whole time?

  4. "Im not an MMO guy" Jessie Cox best put it by calling XIV an RPG MMO rather than an MMO RPG
It's MMO-ish but you can play it very much like an RPG, in particular since recent patches they have added NPC assist system for dungeons so you only really need to do a handful of one-off trials with a matchmaker group (who will more often than not be happy to see a newbie going through the story).

  5. You're not gonna be able to guess the story right because a good chunk of the music is from optional raids which have their own separate stories lol. Also with the stark contrast between What Angel Wakes Me and One Brings Shadow

  6. What you gotta do to experience FF14 is to watch a streamer 's playthrough of the series, find out they're bigoted, find ANOTHER streamer playing through the series, until you either find one that isn't bigoted or finish the story. My money's on the latter

  7. I'm gonna take the fall and paste the copypasta:
Hey did you know that Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial that includes the base game, the award-winning expansion Heavensward, and up to level 60, entirely free with no restriction on playtime??
