  1. Yeah, the gated community insanity needs to stop. It's killed off MANY a good idea over the years and renders the forums completely unusable to most normal people due to the thin-skinned children that run around and mass report everything that slightly offends them over there.

  2. Family cones first. I may have found you becsuse of your FF14 content, but I stayed because I found your takes on other subjects interesting , and entertaining. Cheers.

  3. I mean all understandable, Family and want a different career with your stand up is enough to walk away. I never knew you as i just started FFXIV journey but good luck.

  4. So he is officially quitting FF14 because:
    1) Creating content was taxing, wants to spend more time with family.
    2) Focusing on his professional career.
    3) Enjoys New World more and does not support FF14 safe-style of content cadence, unlike NW where they are willing to take more risks.

Go and deepen your horizons, fellow traveler. Your presence in the community was well felt and we will be saddened to see you leave, yet comforted by the fact that you have found joy in a New World. You will always have a place to return to here, and I hope one day you do–if only to smell the roses.

  5. Understandable reasons. The community will lose an invaluable creator, but life comes first after all!
Wish you all the best to you and your family and that hopefully, you'll return to us sometime in the near future!

  6. Dragonflight is looking like a good expansion for WoW. None of the problems of past expansions are there. Might be a good time to start playing WoW. Check it out.

  7. Sorry you’ve gotten that impression about the community. I only surround myself with positive people who are excited for the game and what it will bring in the future. There will always be negative nancies, especially the larger a community becomes and the longer it sticks around. Hopefully you can still remain a part of it during your hiatus and come back to Eorzea for 7.0!

  8. For more personal life stuff can’t really comment and can’t say that’s bad. But I think you just need a break from FF14 some of the videos you were posting were just coming from you being overly sensitive and you have bad takes and Chris is constantly telling why you’re wrong. But to say you’re leaving for New World HA good luck with that. You’ll be back for 7.0 and making a video saying you’re probably leaving this game forever is weird and dumb just say you’re taking a break we all know you’re going to come back.

  10. As you get older in life the need to spend more time close with your family becomes way more important and i dont blame you for having those desires and growing and starting to have a successful career in comedy behind it all you have to spend your time like its currency so that i understand fully for both those two reasons. New world though? I cant get behind that game but you gotta spend your time how you want to so unfortunately i wouldnt watch any content on it if you made it. I wish you the best of fortunes with your career and happiness and health for your family.

    1. Family First
    2. I hope that your Comedy Carrier grows and makes you happier than ever before.
    3. Tastes change and its only fair to chase the games you feel like appeal to you.

  13. I think you got your money's worth. And keep in mind, the devs themselves say to not play if you don't feel like playing.

    Best of luck to you.

Also be forewarned, you will experience negative reactions from stand-up nowadays. Probably death threats too. People can't take a joke nowadays.

  14. I've never agreed to people being so addicted/fanatical/hyper focused on one game it does things like control their life or over take real life. I applaud people for putting any hobby down for a marriage or kids or job. I only played part way through Stormblood but "for now" put it on hold. I think it's a good game especially for a mostly solo person like me outside the random forced dungeons and such though the npc groups somewhat help that. I do agree the story is on par or better in my view as Guildwars 2 as I do have 6 maxed to the max characters in that game but it's paused as well until new content. My main 2 things for ff14 is time, I play alot of games but also have a FULL real life. I never sleep really but still micro manage everything. The sub is the other thing really. I own 2800+ pc games lol I on and off play like 4-5 mmos that are free so time and money shove ff14 into that "sometime" category. I'll eventually get my Black mage to max, complete all the stories then maybe quit quit too but I fully agree people should only play wht they want, when they want and when they have time not as a job or obligation…they are just games in the end.

  15. New world taking risks? The fundament is set as well as in FFXIV. FFXIV have been taking alot of risks but not for awhile. New World is still a new game and that's why you see many changes. In the end New World will be the same as with alot of other MMO's, keeping it in the safe zone.

  18. Ginger Prime remember yoshi-p words you dont need to explain the man always says Take care of you first dont worry about this game. If you ever decide to come back itll be here if not you move on. Yoshi-P says your health, your interest, and your personal life must always come first before this game :3

  19. Sorry to hear . As a full fledged adult player, time is a very important commodity. You play what you enjoy and do what's best for you. I really only play ff14 out of the games you played , but am currently on a break. Maybe your future videos well get me into a new game.

  20. While I am sad to hear this because I really enjoy your FFXIV content and I don’t agree with all your comments about the game, I am very happy for you.

As a dad and gamer as well I completely get where you are coming from with your time and family. Best wishes in your future.

  21. Geniune question here, Has he made a video or talked about what kind of risks he would like to see square enix take with 14? I'm seeing them take some risks and not in others, but I haven't really been keeping up with 14 content creators recently as most of them have been posting stuff that's well, almost like a turn away from the game. All of the negative talk on the balancing issue (which i think was over the top), the negative talk on island sancturary not having enough content, This was a month or so ago, so i just stopped watching ( I know there's a difference between criticism and just drama chassing, but it was literally every video from everyone popping into my feed) Because I was enjoying the game and I still am.

I'd like to just know because that's a very interesting reason for stepping away that I haven't heard from most. I would like to know his reasoning in risk taking in 14 with the dev team and what they could do from brian's opinion. :3 with that said, I hope the best for you man, you've been a great Content creator here on youtube providing good feedback and being entertaining.

  22. Wow, I had no idea you have 5 kids! Sorry to see you go. Family is important. I guess it’s a good time to focus on what you consider most important. Come back whenever you have that urge again. I think even Yoshi-P would agree.

  23. I gonna be honest with you Brian: for last few weeks I stopped enjoying your content, but couldn't really pinpoint exactly why.
Back in the days I always enjoyed your videos more than Chris videos. And it was reversed for streaming content, where you lacked something and Chris somehow connected to me more.
That being said, It's kinda sad to hear, you don't enjoy the game anymore. I guess it was pretty stale after Endwalker release, but then again, I don't know, since I was doing old content and replaying ARR.
I'm curious what type of content you will end up doing here if any. Take care!

  24. If it's not the game for you right now and in the future, that's totally valid and I respect that. It's called a game because it's supposed to be something you do to have fun, and if you have a way to spend your time that's more worthwhile, you have every right to do that instead.
