  1. The onky thing that keeps me consuming copium is pvp with some of the friends left in the copium center. I don't know why they are not introducing soloque for pvp. The pve experience in ff14 is way better. Think in about 1 year even the pvp in ff14 will be better then i swap completely, they do so much together with the community and not white or blacklisting question in interviews like blizz

  2. maybe the Blizzard team should play FFXIV so they can see how a good story is played. I played WOW at the start of BC all the way thru shadowlands and wish i would have switched sooner. FFXIV buts you into the story vs. wow who doesn't even seem to include the the player into the story. I could go on and on , I have played both now and to me FFXIV is just better. (bet i know witch company is listening to their players)

  3. Blizzard: Trying to stop players from playing other games using time-gating.
Yoshi-P, SE: Go play other games, and come back when you feel like it….

You can really feel the difference…

  4. WoW is like one of those "best moments compilation" episodes in a sitcom. Remember all the fun things you have done, here do them again because we have no ideas what to do with this dumpster fire of a game that it has become.

  5. It’s not true fomo because it’s coming back every few months or bi-annually or whatever. If they made this available only once for a few months it would definitely bring some people back but still not most.

This time feel like people may intentionally miss out on something in WoW as their final protest against the company and then use that as a good reason not to return. “Oh well I missed that so I’m never coming back now!”

  6. They're time gating and doing this shit because they truly seem to have no other options left to them. Which is honestly fucking sad, and I say this as someone who isn't a WoW player and only familiar in relation to friends, alongside playing other blizz games instead.

They truly seem to be out of content to release right now. So much so that their last resort is to be as slimey and desperate as possible

  7. They do listen. They just don’t know what to do. They’re no more good game developers working for blizzard who know how to make a good game. These losers don’t even play the game. They don’t care about you. I’m sorry but when’s the line with blizzard and WoW? Enough’s enough it’s time to move on.

  8. This is making me consider u subbing for good, I have a hard time breaking away from the game as I out nearly 14 years in. Still got friends there but reality is 180 gave me nothing…and still will not sadly.

  9. I quit enjoying the tired ass wow game play, but a kept a character max lvl to keep up with the story …… Shadowlands has finally ruined that for me too …. lazy ass Thanos copy cat

  10. So their newest content is one of their old content made TEMPORARILY relevant? So, they removed old content from their time to be able to implement it back as content update. The saddest part is this is actually a sale to the WoW community.

  11. Any FFXIV-expansion's first savage raidtier has historically released 2 weeks after normal mode, so 4 weeks after expansion launch, so immediately after Legion timewalking this time. Also world firsts won't take longer than 1-2 days, if there is no mathematically impossible DPS requirements without weapons that you can't have before week 4 after normal mode release, like it was with the first tier of Heavensward (Gordias).
So the high-end raiders won't have any clashes in their schedule at all.

Either Blizzard haven't done their research on SE's expansion launch schedules, or they 're just hoping, that some timewalking and active subscriptions will bring players back after people had their first real shot of FFXIV raiding and knowing how it actually is when current. Which might as well happen idk

  12. XIV got a second chance with fans because YoshiP specifically made a point of listening to player feedback about what did and didn't work with the original failed version of the game. Blizzard devs would do well to take a page out of that book and give more weight to player feedback instead of sticking to their "it's our game so we know what's best" hard line.

It's never going to happen, but that's honestly the only thing that could possibly stabilize (I won't say save, because it would take a lot more than just listening to player feedback to save WoW at this point) the game at this point.

  13. You know I enjoyed the Legion stuff… I wanted to challenge myself in the mage tower with my Monk but with this shit going down the way it is, no thanks. You guys screwed up and now, screwed yourselves over.

  14. You know, I really love XIV and am really excited about Endwalker, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist all the dirty band-aids, half-baked QoL changes, woke-revisionism, and literal floor turds in WoW 9.1.5. I’m seriously torn about this.

  15. Let's also be honest, unsubbed players will very likely sign up for 1 month. then 1 month later, Blizzard will put another special mount that only comes with 6 months subscription. and people will still sub. Until you actually see personnel changes in Blizzard, WoW players should not expect too much from Blizzard.

Everything coming in 9.1.5 should have came in 9.1, but no, they refused to make these changes because of "lore" hello????

  16. Blizzard censoring itself while most FFXIV streamers have been showing off 18+ RP bars and have at many points avatars dancing around in their underwear and scantily dressed while just having a good time.

But yeah…. doesn’t this just make it a giant hotfix if they delay the meat of the content til later? Not to mention people will be in the middle of the MSQ and hardcore players grinding gear and running the raid still in prep for savage. I mean it’s kind of obvious this was done for the deserters. “Hey you played that game so resub and come back to us for at least a bit!” But isn’t this a huge FU to the player base that is still ACTUALLY playing the game?…

  17. This all reminds me of way back before Lore worked for blizzard and he was doing that Gamebreaker TV Legendary show. Lore commented as they were talking about WoW killers that the only thing that could kill WoW is WoW itself. How ironic. 🤔

  18. Ofc its by design…now they can sleep in the bed theymade. What a shit company now resorting to timegating like a mobile game dev. They hav no clue how to make anything better its so obvious they're milking wut they can. No class. Fuck blizz…I hope their numbers drastically drop for ew

  20. Never in it's history have I cared less what was going on in WoW. Even when I took breaks before, I was always still plugged in to the day to day news. I think they jumped the shark. It's over. Maybe not today, but it's over.

  21. The 9.1.5 patch is laughable. The patchnotes dont really have anything juicy in there. Why the fuck would I go back to WoW for a two week timewalk, when I got eternal timewalk in FFxiv.

  22. The WoW mob truly amazes me. You have several years of feedback falling on deaf ears, and they still hope to be heard. I mean, what does it take for these people to try something different? It's legitimately an abusive relationship by this point. I understand the commitment and love they have; they criticize because they love the game. What is the breaking point, though? How are they OK with constantly recycled content? The lack of innovation and creativity shows the devs are completely checked out in making a game that's actually good. The reality is they will do anything to get those subs; if they get them strictly through nostalgia, then so be it. I have legit pity for people who are addicted to that game. It's pretty sad at this point.

  23. Idk if you know this but, ffxiv does have timegated fomo rewards raids with the Unreal difficulty raids. Had mounts that you could only get within a few weeks if you farmed the raid which was just OLDER content from level 50 that they made a little bit harder. 14 does time gated raids too, you might just not be caught up to do them.

  24. Only blizzard, in the midst of a lawsuit that's tearing the company apart, while all their games are hemorrhaging players, money, and employees, could see the solution to be launching their new patch with no content two weeks before endwalker and then adding in the content a full month later when ffxiv's playerbase, now full of former wow players, will have completed the msq and is ready to do the endgame.

Imagine being a wow player excited to do old legion content because the game has gotten so bad since then, only to sub on patch launch date a month before the actual content hits so you have to sub again a month later so you can play legion time walking for two weeks of your 30 day sub and then go back to waiting for new content.

  25. Seriously, even if I wasn't invested into FFXIV now, I still wouldn't return to World of Warcraft. Blizzard is very anti-customer. They routinely blame us for all of their problems and it's just not worth giving them our money anymore. "B-b-b-but there are still good people who work at Blizzard!" "B-b-b-b-but they could shut down WoW for good!" Who fucking cares. It's a business, not a charity/welfare. Nobody gives a fuck about my job, why should we care about people who work for a company that vilifies its own customer base, calling them out as assholes on Twitter?

It's going to take more than a fucking gimmick from another expansion to rehabilitate WoW.

  26. They're that desperate to get an extra MONTH of subs from ignorant people? I'm sorry, but Captain Grimm hit the nail on the head: They're sharing copium with the few players they have left.

  27. I remember when for FFXIV, the NieR raids released and i was geniunely interested in them after only playing the trial with a friend and not having full version, for a bit i thought they would be a temp thing because it was a crossover (with another SE property but a crossover nontheless) so i thought they would eventually remove the raids

Lo and behold, they werent, and despite being a massive crossover, you can still get all content and items from it to this day
