Flow has to be one of my favorite FF songs of all time. They did such a great job of incorporating it throughout EW in the various town themes & zones. You might also know this song as the Old Sharlayan Night theme. I particularly loved the full-band version that plays in the Venat sparring in Elpys.

This was actually a deceptively tricky song to put on guitar! It floats between a few keys. I actually started this arrangement on stee-string acoustic, but had to switch to the nylon because of the physical limitations of steel-string. I’m happy with how it turned out, in the end.

Composition: Masayoshi Soken
Arrangement: Harley Guio

  1. you are truly the WOG – warrior of guitar – you captured amazingly the feeling of this truly melancholic and tragic but at the same time beautiful song 🙂 also not sure if you aimed for it, but this could be the perfect elpis night music or better to say a town theme from final fantasy x what is automatically the ff for me with the biggest influence of acoustic guitar (midi) songs 🙂 (besides ff13, which has also a lot of them) – I truly felt in love with this cover 💙thanks for sharing this with us! =)

  2. I'm still newish to guitar, but I hope I can work my way up to playing this one since Flow is one of my favorites. In the description you mentioned you had to switch to nylon because of limitations with steel-string, would I need nylon to play the arrangement? I only have a steel string at the moment.
