i do think in shadowbringers, it may be worth doing it with duty support, it was the exapnsion where it started, and all the duty support characters have thier own things to add, thier own quirks, and some interact diffrent with some mechanics, they are really only good for first timers.
so I mentioned on the "welcome to shadowbringers" video, that Alpinaud and Alisae's sides reflect one another, and I think its' also important to remember that they can somehow be tamed, but they can't be reasoned with. They inflict the worst pain imaginable and wipe away all emotions. It's a stark contrast and is there to point out, "No, these aren't misunderstood, and here's a maniac who thinks that you can work with them somehow."
44:55 — Think of it this way: the Exarch is aware he talkes to people from another world, thus uses their way of speech to bring across his point. And he knows our way of speech from all the things cluttered in the Crystal Tower.
1:07:57 — CaffDad: almost dies, runs into AOE XD I saw you, Mister XD
people debating over the order of which quest you should do first and arguing "the game lists it in this order therefore that's the intended order" and it's like, no, the game gave you two choices and so it's intended you pick your own choice. do you also pick the first dialogue option for everything because it's the intended option? ppl can argue all they want on which is the best choice with both having valid pros and cons, but at the end of the day it is personal preference and that's how the dev's intended it
The first huge moment in Shadowbringers, when you bring back the night. And it gets better from there. Keep in mind, Lakeland hadn't seen the night in over 100 years at this point.
I laugh at healers who pre-hot, shouldnt do it if you are not confident the tank will get immediate threat because all that aggro goes straight to the healer on the first tick. Tank stance doesnt really kick in until you hit something, which is why most people AOE pull, so they can tag to get full threat, though one stray mob and the healer will get eaten up. I have played all three roles, and have experience with the side effects of all forms of enmity.
Last boss : Philia, affectionate love or friendship, often described as 'brotherly love', the feelings of love one has toward a longtime or dear friend. Philia the sin eater was actually at one time the daughter of the village chief who was infected. Rather than executing her after her infection, they chose instead to imprison her in the basement their home. Which is the location of the final boss fight, the yard of the house of the village elder. Eventually after she turned, her cries summoned the sin eaters which lead to the town being over run and destroyed by the sin eater rampage.
This is the first time the First has seen a night sky in 100 or so years. Most people of that reflection see the night sky and the stars for the very first time in their entire lives.
The entire time the sky was covered by glowing clouds… it'd be ironic, if those only produced visible light, but still blocked UV light. They'd have a wonderful dark night… followed by severe sunburns, from their skins being exposed to sunlight for the first time in their lives and them having no idea what that entails.
Hmmm, its difficult for the role quests. Maybe save them for when you are further into ShB as they do not hold skills locked behind them!
Thank you for being wonderful over stream. For any curious, no, I was unable to get the day off so yes, am suffering!
l really like the Idea of Job quests series being separate videos. Do the job quest, thoughts, next part of the job quest, thoughts, etc.. then a total sum up of your thoughts on the job quest chain. 👍
Ngl loved the travelling to eulmore bit with alphi, felt like a fun call back to our traveling together alone in hw briefly, but you can see the difference of how much he’s grown and changed: he’s in an even WORSE situation than he was back then, but instead of moping like he used to, he’s going out of his way to make other people happy
You need to start getting in the habit of saving 3000 mp for Blackest Night.
The triple pull before first boss is probably one of the hardest hitting pulls in the game, I think you would have made it if you saved shadow wall/reprisal/armslength for the whole pull instead of the first 2 packs though.
