Steam is what messes so many people up. Square needs to work better, and look into the steam integration. I have had friends struggle because they went to get it via steam, and made it difficult to do the free trial because it was looking for a key.

It's not that the quests are bad or the story is bad, I believe that it is simply because the ARR MSQ is slow paced and it can drag on in many areas so it's not for everyone; I actually stopped playing for a while because I wasn't playing it for the story however once I returned I focused on the story and it was amazing, so in the end it's about perspective and personal experience in my opinion.
Coming from playing wow for years both games have questing issues. Wow tends to give more pointless go kill x amount of monsters or collect x amount of materials. FF has so many talk to this person and that person and that person which could easily be toned down because it's completely pointless to need to walk 10 feet every 1 min just to speak to 5 different people all in the same general area. Just get to the point instead of making me talk to 5 people in order to get to the main objective. It feels like a bureaucracy in which I have to talk to the little guy in order to talk to the his boss and so on and so forth before I can actually get on with the quest. It is highly annoying and I find myself sighing whenever I get quests in FF that do this. But besides that I'm having a good time in FF right now. Started playing 2 weeks ago and I'm lvl 62 and nearing the end of Heavensword…I think lol.
Took me over an hour and multiple devices, payment and account pages weren't functioning properly on my PC. Had to use a combination of phone and PC to complete process, it was a total pain the butt. 100% the most difficult site I've attempted to buy off of. Battle.net both the website and their launcher, like many other triple a launchers, is clean and smooth. You can do everything from one account at one place. FFXIV definitely reeks of an aging system that needs to be streamlined and updated.
That really true that there is problems with blizzard synce they started to work with Activision , more than that I would say that I also have gotten problems with the payment system but would say that it is caused by passing by Steam

I mean I was able to figure it out, but having to flip through like fucking five webpages just to buy the game was stressful.
After all I don’t have infinite money and I can’t affort to have to buy the game twice.
The system really need to be looked at.
