What better way to close out Endwalker than by finishing a long levequest grind? Of all the achievement grinds in Final Fantasy XIV, leves are the most prohibitive. I’m glad that I can at least go into Dawntrail with only 3 levequest achievements left. Hopefully the new expansion is merciful.

My first goals as we get into the two weeks before expansion, is finishing the last couple bits of content I hadn't done — I got my 625 to be able to do Lunar Subterrane and "The Twelve wing 3" during the early part of that "96 hours free across a month" that's running, so I have to do that when I slap sub leading into the expansion. Maybe I'll get the 1500 current-tomestones, or likely poetics when Dawntrail hits, to finish the final stage of the Manderville weapon for my main (RDM) too.
Rl sapped my willpower, so i don't think i'll reach my goal of capping levels and gear for my jobs. Oh well 😂
My plans for before Dawntrail are all done tbh.
Inventory Managment – My Armory Chest has my class's gear only, plus Picto and Viper. My Inventory is on under 2 lines. My Saddlebag is almost empty. My retainers are still full though XD
Max out all 3 Tomestones – Self Explanatory, I have 2000 Poetics, Causality, and Comedy.
Gear for the new classes – Edenmorn, Augmented Cryptlurker, and then Ascension and Augmented Credendum. Not fully finished, but I have the tomes to do so XD
Get any classes I'm levelling to the next level – Class EXP is reset to 0 upon a new expansion, so get them to the next level so that you don't waste all the EXP
Khloe's Journal – The journal on the 18th should be saved, and then given in on the 28th. Then you can get that week's for a whole level's worth of EXP
I've done most of what I had for goals before the expansion, really the last thing would be the deep dungeons because I've never really messed with PotD much, so the other two are still locked for me. I finally made myself sit down and learn BLU, and I enjoyed it so much I went ahead and learned every spell. Every job is maxed, and I've unlocked every Master Tome for the crafters. I'm still slowly working on the rest of the folklore books, but those will give me something to spend scrips on while I do custom deliveries. My glam dresser was absolutely maxed out, so I already went through and cleared out a couple hundred things I'll never wear.
Really, at this point I'm just ready for the expansion. I want new zones to explore and new npcs to talk to. I want more dye channels so I can spend even more hours making sure my glams are Peak Cute. I'm prepared to trail the dawns and dawn every trail!
I did a clean up of my glam dresser (i finally came around to use the armoire and not just slap everything in the glam dresser), did a cleanup of my inventory, furnished a part of the house my bf and I brought in the game and tried my hand at gardening which allowed us to dye our chocobos in a nicer colour. I also changed some of my glams and cut down the number of glam plates used. I think for the days left I'll focus on leveling up some crafters.
Island sanctuary won’t be dead if they add the new materia to the store 😉
I'll need to get space for my glam armory, cap currencies, maybe get closer to the goal of a Large house in Empyreum so this means finishing my supplies of Grade 8 Tinctures of Intelligence before the whole market collapses with the Grade 9 Tinctures (Which is now since these are the two weeks before expac), get a Wondrous Tails ready for delivery on DT and then another in the chamber for the first week

I'll make do with 10 item levels lower and replace them with spare poetics later.
Got all my Jobs maxed out, got decent gear for almost all of them. Further prep for me will be getting a few more ilvl 640+ gear items to fill out my kits. Ready and psyched to take my Lala over into the New World!
My current last minute goal is bringing my crafters up to 90. currently doing the last batch of crafts 😀

Was working on endwalker msq for the past week or so, about 1 level worth of quests per day, and I'm on 88 rn so I'm close. Want to get to island sanctuary, not because Im prepping it for DT, I just procrastinated a long time
DT Prep Goals:
1. Get the lvl80/ilvl500 gear ready for Picto and Viper
2. Get the Tomestones ready for weapons
3. Clear/manage both the inventory and the armor chest
4. Maybe try and max up a few more class gears

i have already been prepping for DT for like…. 2 months. Been grinding cash, making sure i have all currencies i could have capped, capped etc. I made sure to get retainers ready even buying a 3rd one so i can have Botanist, Miner and a combat class retainer. Gonna go crazy on grinding when DT drops.

I've been working on finishing all of the beast tribes. Just have the final rank for Ixali and I'll be done with every expansion. I had wanted to hit a least 80 with every job for the evil chocobo mount, but I'm definitely not hitting that lol. I still have 5 to go, and I just don't have time to do much more than some roulettes and the beast tribes each day.
I need to prepare 6-8 different glamours for each zone and hub city in Dawntrails, so I can ROCK every scene I am xDDD
My Dawntrail prep is: Do one more Frontline to get to PvP Series Lv 25!
For me, it will be the same as when EW dropped; I won't be home until like a week after the drop. I have a really bad habit of having vacations when expansions drop…

My crafters are at 80+, so if i grind I think I can have them all to 90 before DT.
I imagine that the low hydatos crystal yields are whats slowing down the relics, and man i feel that.
since you wondered how E5S was on content: It was a bit of a wall, savage even more so. Also released at the start of a certain global pandemic but before we actually took it serious. That is why one of the strats for E5S is called the corona strat. The entire raidtier was quite a good time. Frustrating but fun.
For one thing, the only bit of prep ima end up doing for dawntrail is finishing the endwalker post msq, maybe making some money too but i may or may not have done most of endwalkers content without doing alot of the msq for post, oops

Pre DT goals:
Clean out the inventory, got a bunch of just random garbage in there I don't need.
Clean out the armory chest. For awhile I was just throwing any new glam pieces in there without thinking about how I would use them in glams, leading to a lot of garbage in there.
1100 Mentor Roulettes, at 1048 now.
The absolute dedication to the craft (pun maybe intended?) by minmaxing allowances right up to the 48h maintenance. Kudos.
Dawntrail is my first on-content expansion launch since I joined right after Asphodelos dropped, saving me login headache issues thankfully. My prep is a typical one: capped tomes all around, almost full on other various currencies like GC seals and hunts, we now know bicolor gemstones are staying + the new cap is 1500 so might as well cap those too.
My "main" jobs are all BiS and melded, that'll probably get me through until about lvl95 if not a bit more before I need upgrades and we have those leather daddy crafted glams to look forward to.
Other than that I'm just chilling, playing other games and catching up on my Steam library before I go all-in on the early access weekend, I'm not taking any chances with spoilers so it's complete social media blackout for me until I finish the story.
I've had my true goals for DT done for months really but ideally get some more rival wings done alongside maybe a deep dungeon orthos solo run finished!
Today I'm finishing leveling RDM, my last job, to 90 🙂
Then it's inventory clean up.
