Final Fantasy's Creator is ADDICTED to MSQs. Stormblood in 3 Days?!

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the man who doesn’t understand the concept of sleep and also the man who created Final Fantasy, zoomed through FFXIV Stormblood in ~3 days.

  1. Namazu… Every time I saw one I wanted a pot, some frying oil, and cornmeal for a catfish fry. In my defense, I wasn't the only one! Cirina of the Mol in the Azim Steppe is always thinking about catfish buuz (a real life Mongolian stuffed-and-steamed bun) whenever you take Gyoshin to talk to the Mol during the Namazu beast tribe quests.

  2. Think about this, Final Fantasy 1 was the last ditch effort to bring Square Enix back in the day!
FF14 1.0 shit the bed, FF14 2.0 brought it back from the brink again!!!!!

  3. ofc hed love it, i for myself played all ff games… and ARR part for this one felt like FF12… i enjoyed it so much with that vibe…, FF Father would have the same feeling… if you don't come from FF is not the same feeling, because there is no way to compare it… but if you come from previous FF games there are so many ways to feel it.

  4. I love this video! I’m so glad you’re doing this, it’s so heartwarming <3 and super glad you have the screenshots and reference photos (also I’m sorry for being annoying because it doesn’t really matter but azim steppe is pronounced step not steep, sorry sorry!)

  5. I hate namazus with a passion, all because of the rubber gloves sound effect they have. From the first moment I heard it it made me feel sick and no matter how good they written them (I did all the beast tribe quests) I still can't stand them. Got autism so might be a sensory thing but still namazus are the worst.

  6. That's wild. I've multiple alts and my fastest time from 2.0 to 3.4 was a week. That was with knowing tricks to get around ARR zones faster, tank queues, and picking up quests I know I'll need to do later in post 2.0 while doing MSQ. I have the advantage of previous experiences.

I admit, I did mess around in pvp and chill on my Main character half the time. But if I didn't, I'm sure it'd take me at least 4 days to go from 2.0 to 4.0 even with the shortcuts that I know of. Yet this guy does it all blind in 3 days?

    That's wild.

  7. I think I'll hold watching these videos bc im not catch up with all of shadowbringers, just finished 5.0 and even if this videos are from the journey of Sakaguchi and is not on shadowbringers you always spoil things to come. Maybe ill watch later idk.

  8. I have been seeing this (thanks to people translating his tweets) and the only thing I can think is that meme from star wars commando with "your tactics confuse and frighten me, sir" about the speed this man moves through the msq lol

  9. My offline life prevents me from being "hooked" but I do play any free time I have. I think it's really cool someone this knowledgable in FF games enjoys this, I'm not sure you'd see this ever in any franchise that I know of.

  10. So…We had Yasumi Matsuno collab for the Ivalic Raids, Tetsuya Nomura collab in the Eden Raids, Yoko Taro for the Nier raid……..Are we gonna see a collab with Hironobu Sakaguchi? Dare we dream?

  11. Omega first appeared as a superboss in FF5 along woth Shinryu. FF1 & 2 Dawn of Souls was released way after that. Also Emet-Selch is pronounced with a k.
But yeah, Sakaguchi's straight up flying through MSQ and I love it!

  13. Both the circumstances of his playthrough and your commentary are absolutely adorable.
It's so nice to come to this channel every once in a while and find a player completely enamored with the game after having followed you regarding tanking in m+.
    Looking forward to EW.
PS: Did you ever manage to finish the sidequest from the frog and the brooms in matoya's cave?

  14. 3 days is definitely doable for a normal human being, assuming you've taken the time off work. I think people just got a somewhat distorted view of how long the 4.0 MSQ took because so many were stuck at Raubahn Savage. Once that problem was cleared up it took me 2 or 3 days to finish everything, while doing normal things like eating and sleeping. Shadowbringers was also good chunk longer in comparison, so that also probably skews the opinions since everyone played that more recently.

Still, the man had to be playing for pretty much all his waking hours. that or he's skipping cutscenes

  15. Hironobu Sakaguchi itself playing and really enjoying the game is a kind of huge 'seal of approval' toward the game

i hope more and more final fantasy fans give ff14 a chances later. the game basically a prove that the franchise is still alive well and kicking.
